Seen him @ Alex box he was seating in the TAF Suite on opening night. We where in the suite next to them. They kept asking him if he was coming to play here he just would smile and say I hope so.

4 players last year got that kind of signing bonus.
How highly rated is he? I always thought he threw in the mid to upper 80s. If that's the case, and he really loves LSU, he could easily pass on the draft and try his luck in 3 years.

Threw 93 in a high school all star game last year in June.

If he really loves LSU, who cares what he's offered. Roger Clemons, from Houston, pitched for the Texas Longhorns and got to pitch in the College World Series. Id say things turned out pretty well for him...well..except for the steroid stuff late in his career.
I really think he goes to LSU. You only live once, and if you love a school like LSU, you have to go experience it.

In the game he threw this year, was throwing 85-88 mph, hit 91 a couple of times. In a showcase this summer, reached the low 90's. Don't think he will get drafted as high as everyone thinks. If he stays anywhere near what his going price is right now, he will be playing for LSU next year.

Agreed.......he's a high 80's pitcher consistantly but he's also a winner and battles. I'd be shocked if he goes Pro....
I just hope those ZHS coaches don't wear his arm out..........and I'll stand by this.

He also went to San Jac out of high school and then transferred to Texas, does this mean that Von Rosenburg needs to go to BRCC before coming to LSU so that he can get to pitch in the CWS?

This is what I've always heard about him. If that's the case, and he really loves LSU, then there is a real chance he goes to college.

VonRosenberg is not going to be selected in the 1st round this upcoming draft, nor will he receive a 5 million dollar bonus. He will in fact be highly raved about and will get looks from alot of teams in the top ten rounds. I wouldn't worry too much about this seeing how well of a recruiter Mainieri is with the parents and the new stadium that has him and every other recruit wowed.
Brody Colvin the other tall and talented pitcher from STM is one I believe every MLB team is going to at least keep on their radar. He's a major league talent who can both pitch (94 mph) and hit (and I mean the long ball). One thing going for LSU with this kid is that his family loves both the campus and coach Mainieri and he has stated numerous times he can't wait to be a Tiger. We will see...
