Any hs kids that didn’t sign? Did Keisean officially sign with Houston?

We tried to get Sam. We’re probably still trying to get Sam. We can’t put all our eggs in that basket.

Its looking worse and worse as the days go by and the QBs are finding homes. Hopefully Lane can find a diamond in the rough from another division 2 school. Because as it stands now we will struggle at the QB spot next year after whiffing on the portal QBs to this point.

There are so many decent QB options left. I don’t get why people are so worried. Kiffin will find a guy to fit his system. A few options outside the top 4 big names remaining:

Beau Pribula (Missouri)
Jadyn Davis (Michigan) - Former 4*
Jake Merklinger (Tennessee) - Former 4*
Tayven Jackson (UCF) - Former 4*
Amari Odom (Kennesaw State)

Wiltfong only mentioned Oregon as a team for Longstreet. Now could that change and we get in the mix, maybe so but it doesn’t look like he entered the portal for us

We are bringing Landen Clark in for QB2, and Leavitt visiting Miami while they have the natty juice will probably land him.

We are screwed. Guess it’s Deuce Knight or bust

One of these two and the guy from Elon who will probably beat either of them out for the starting job next year

You know we don’t have to offer him 5-6 million as well right? I’d rather three good Qbs with potential at 800k-1.5 mil than one Qb for 6 that could get hurt on a single play. If we got a trio of Longstreet or knight, Landen Clark, and the juco kid that would be better imo for next year and let them all fight for the job.

Scott famously walked away from his contract at the University of Wisconsin. Well, get Colton Joseph to do the same.

I'll poach Utah's QB and Taron Dickens from WCU.

there's a chance that we don't have many guys left that we'd be willing to throw big $$ at anymore. May have to go with a few guys at the cheaper rates and let them battle it out. Longstreet, Clark, and 1 more would be solid, and that would free up room for us to spend big on defensive pieces and bolster the OL. I'd trust Lane and Weiss to develop a QB into being what we need.

Well you can't make players sign. So far these top transfer QBs have just been using LSU for leverage. And who's to say these "top" QBs are the ones anyway? Chambliss wasn't some highly sought after QB. It's probably time to temper expectations as far as QB goes.

I realize you’re an Ole Miss fan but this is a retarded take. You don’t just pay someone based on what you were willing to pay someone else. Everyone’s value is not the same.

No need to speculate. We just have to trust that Kiffin has a plan and a pecking order and is working it until he gets a few that he likes.
