SEC East from 2005 to 2010 was softer than charmin. Big 10 from 2013-2018 most talented opponent each year was a James Franklin coached Penn State team. Maybe 1-2 decent Wisconsin teams. Who would lose to USC or TCU in Rose Bowl. Urban Meyer is the most overrated HC in CFB History. But i think if O goes 9-3 in 2021. he keeps his job. 2020 was weird with Covid and your best WR opting out. -Joe Brady claiming he was staying with LSU and then 2 months later leaving... that was a kick in the balls that no one ever talks about. 2021 was bad when Brennan wore flip flops on the charter 1 month prior to season opener which led to
So you’re gonna make excuses for Ed and criticize Urban like he didn’t win a natty with his 3rd string QB in 2015. Quit defending Orgeron. It’s embarrassing.

Let's not, and say we didn't.

people don't talk enough about how much of a kick in the nuts losing brady was after him initially stating he was signing extension
yeah because that NEVER happens with any assistants at any other program anywhere.

He doesn’t even realize it’s an indictment on O even if we take the Brady point. Was Ed’s program so fragile that a PGC leaving the program sent it into a tailspin? Programs remain stable when they have a competent HC even when they replace coordinators. Ed clearly wasn’t competent.
I’m sure Urban was happy as could be that he lost Miller and Barrett and had to play Oregon for a title with a 3rd stringer. Defending Ed is just pathetic.

honestly, probably not.
I don't know if we would be losing but I don't see him putting together a great football team again.
He has serious issue with macro level decisions.

O's success was based upon three things:
1) Joe Burrow - No explanation needed left after 2019 season.
2) Dave Aranda - After the 2017 season A & M came after Aranda. LSU responded by giving him the reigns to run the football operations as the Asst Head Coach and $2.5M per year. Ed served as the figure head/Cheerleader in charge. Aranda left after the 2019 season and the football program fell into chaos under Coach O's "leadership".
3) Joe Brady - LSU caught lightening in a bottle with a great young coach on the way up to becoming one of the hottest OCs in the NFL coaching basically an NFL QB playing at the college level with 2 future All Pro Wide Receivers and multiple other future NFL players all over the offense. Brady left after the 2019 season.

Let’s say the following 3 one score games went our way:
Auburn, Bama and Arkansas.
That puts LSU at 9-3 with a shot at 10 wins with the bowl. O stays and Kelly never comes.
Wasn't O already canned before the Bama and Arky games? IOW, they wouldn't have been one score games if he had still been HC.

This dude is seriously criticizing Urban while making excuses for Orgeron.
This dude really picked a multiple championship coach to make himself feel better about O flaming out haha
Crazy

We would've been super fricked. Love O for 2019 but the dude was asked a question about NIL and said to ask Derek P

You have to use the emoticons on the page, can't use emojis from your phone.

Sometimes it’s not worth exploring what if scenarios.

dude, assistant, especially those that aren't even offensive or defensive coordinators leave for bigger jobs all the fricking time.
are you trying to say the very specific intricate details of his departure were the problem?
so had he not verbally agreed to the extension before getting the NFL offer, things would have been smooth sailing?
or had he left to backpack the outback instead of leaving for the NFL, we would have never missed a beat?
seriously?
hell, LSU had an offensive coordinator get diagnosed with Parkinsons and stepped down a couple weeks before the first game.
and that team didn't collapse.

So all it took for the Orgeron tenure to come crashing down at LSU was for one PGC, who hadn't even been a offensive coordinator at LSU, to leave for the league? C'mon man.
What does Joe Brady have to do with.....
O's roster management
lack of vetting coordinator hires
failure to manage the blm issue
failure to address NIL properly
etc
etc
etc
Ed had a great season and failed after. That's the truth.

He's grasping at straws here. I can almost respect him going down with the ship defending Orgeron but to defend Orgeron and crap on Urban as a football coach in the same thread is peak Rant logic.
Defending Orgeron yet discounting a coach that won 3 titles, one of which with a 3rd string QB, and finished with a record of 187-32 is almost too stupid to insult.

he's one of those who think 2019 is the "true Ed O" and the other 35 or so years of his career are the anomalies.

Does O ever get things going again or was he truly a flash in the pan?
O lost Aranda, Joe Brady, and 14 players to the nfl draft. Then he went trough a global pandemic and a divorce. Myles brennan and max johnson were horrible. Still in his last year there were a handful of games that could've gone different and he only lost to a #1 ranked bama team 20-14. We are now paying BK $100 million to lose to bama by 30
