College needs to figure out what the pros have…don’t overpay for RBs. They’re a dime a dozen.

Put your $ into oline, pass rushers, shutdown corners, and of course a QB.

Not a great time to be a CFB fan if this is what you’re going to cry about.

Ole Miss is going to back up the Brinks truck to try and hold onto many of these players. Let them

Chambliss is a great QB and Lacy a great RB, but they are not so superior to the talent out there to overspend against spiteful Ole Piss.

You win by finding the right fits for the right price.

This year was a perfect example of poor money overspent on certain players by LSU in the portal. We had some major hits but also major busts.

Spend wisely and you will be fine.

Redistribution of wealth, yes. When it came out, I saw it as having reverse discrimination aspects, taking it from “the man”, giving it to the “deserving”. Their fair share. It’s all about socialism today, not business.

I’d rather see them spend the money on the OL. We have the RBs in Berry and Durham that can run though a hole if it exists.

Are you talking about Lacy? Where are these numbers even coming from? How do you know this isn't just some agent floating that out there to get the most out of the deal. I highly doubt they're dropping 2 million for a RB more than rookie RBs in the NFL. Lacy is one of the best RBs in NCAA but yeah, no on that. You're pretty naive to believe it. He's getting paid but not that much unless this is off endorsements which absolutely makes sense. LSU just signed a big Nike deal and they'll likely stick their star players on that so no university can poach them.

Straight up 2 million no, endorsements included, sure. You can't cap endorsements anyway.

Finally some sense posted. With the NIL war chest Lane has, we can find outstanding QBs and RBs. Lane was assuming he would leave after this season all the way back in August. This UM team has chemistry, not 5 star future NFL HOF’ers. There are better players out there without having to outbid bitter Ole Miss boosters.
