to quote Dick Cheney at the 2000 RNC Convention, "The wheel has turned. Its time for him to go."

At this point a 5 win season may be more likely than a 5 loss season.

dude...
what in the hell makes you think this team can go 5-2 down the stretch?
Sat, Oct 9 at Kentucky
Sat, Oct 16 Florida
Sat, Oct 23 at Ole Miss
Sat, Nov 6 at Alabama
Sat, Nov 13 Arkansas
Sat, Nov 20 LA-Monroe
Sat, Nov 27 Texas A&M
where do you see 5 wins?

People were sold on the elite coordinator model with elite recruiting. And although most of Ed’s hires were a disaster, it actually did work once. The problem is when you have Ed making the hires, it’s not sustainable. He just happened to get lucky to have a great one on staff already and bring on another one. Once
. Not to mention all of the other issues Ed has going on (attrition, culture, public antics). So I really don’t fault people who thought it was a decent idea in the beginning considering what we were paying him. It was basically a trial situation. I didn’t think it was the right thing to do, but I’ll take the natty.
I do fault people who aren’t able to see it’s not going to work going forward. It’s a very small amount of people now.

He’s gone.

So keeping him and losing 7 games won’t disrupt recruiting? GTFO CheeriO

Going 3-7 with the head coach still in charge would look worse.

What was a realistic result for 2020
You guys know the score on how many juniors left.
You guys understand the leadership vacuum that losing joe Clyde and klavon and Delpit created.
Losing Myles. Freshman don’t lead. They may play well but they don’t set the standard because they don’t know the standard.
Online has been injured all year. Despite that we still have a team that plays hard.

Why do people reply to the troll OP? Mind boggling
Orgeron is done. It’s pretty widely known at this point

Look back to how many people said the same thing about CPM.

This is so dumb. Of course you take a recruiting hit in the short term when you fire a coach.
The best recruiting year in the history of the program was the one immediately after we fired Miles.

To think I almost gave an upvote

He will be fired for multiple reasons and number one is the fact that Woodward wants his own guy.
If we lose the next four games, no Coach is safe.

It’s done. Confirmed it earlier today. He’ll be fired the day after the Texas A&M game.
However, there is smoke about more Title 9 issues surfacing in the next few weeks. Depending on the nature of those, he could be gone sooner.
Make no mistake, he’s out of here because he’s not winning—but LSU is going to make this move in a way that gives them as much leverage as possible to negotiate a reduced buyout. Regardless, the money is already there to get rid of him and his staff.
