Story still developing
No other details I can find, just saw it pop up on my news feed. I'll post updated articles when they come out if I can.
ETA:
More info from ESPN, looks like it was post-college for Blakeney so LSU career won't be in the scope of charges:

Former college All-American Antonio Blakeney is among 17 basketball players charged in a point-shaving scheme to fix games in the NCAA and Chinese Basketball Association and rig bets, according to an indictment unsealed Thursday in Philadelphia.
Federal officials are announcing the charges on Thursday.

Former NBA player Antonio Blakeney was named but not charged in the indictment. The indictment describes Blakeney as being "charged elsewhere."
The scheme, according to the 70-page indictment, began around September 2022 and initially was focused on fixing games in the Chinese Basketball Association. The group later targeted college basketball games, offering bribes to college players ranging from $10,000 to $30,000 to compromise games for betting purposes, according to the indictment.

Might explain his second year at LSU where LSU won 2? conference games

The LSU player is the only one mentioned in the article, author must have had Dellenger or Guilbeau proof it.

Guy was a baller, shame he didn't stay one more year at LSU. Maybe would have changed his life!

It's amazing how sometimes when you get close to the game going over the total everyone just loses all ability to dribble and even make layups and free throws.

Bright spot on a bad team. Heard of a story of him throwing his drink at the drive-thru workers at Canes bc they gave him the wrong drink. Must’ve went over his point total by accident

I wish point shaving was the explanation for what happened last night, but unfortunately it is not.

Plenty of point shaving happening in the pmac.

Makes sense. That Ben Simmons team was way to talented to miss the tournament

Question for legal experts here:
If he was in China playing in the Chinese Basketball Association when this happened, can they get him for much in the US?
I guess it depends what country the bets were placed in i.e. where the "fixing" actually happened in regards to the sportsbooks?

Another former tiger, Bradley Ezewiro, was also named. The article I read doesn’t mention if his actions took place while he was at LSU or after he’d transferred to another school

Maybe the biggest "team cancer" in the history of LSU sports.

He didn’t play enough to fix a game

I think he was involved in point shaving playing games in China (he's been playing in China since 2019). He's not the only player/person involved. It's a gambling ring. There's 25 people charged. Because the article reads that games were fixed in China and in college basketball doesn't mean because Blakeney was charged with fixing games in college and in China. It means among all the people charged, games at both levels are alleged to have been fixed.
