The madness that was the Kiffin hiring and then the portal was a wonderful bridge into baseball season. Usually from the bowl game to opening day drags, but this year its been more happening than ever. Then we get softball as a nice appetizer starting Thursday.

Prediction: CWS champions

Buzzing through last year’s thread for comparisons. Solid prediction.

When you were watching the games and giving us a play by play in the fall, were there any situations where you saw Yorke swinging at bad pitches to try to bring in a run? Just curious.

also if the pitching is good as advertised then we have a chance. It wasn't as a good as advertised as last year. I mean you did you say that remember?

You've posted this in every single baseball thread for almost a year straight now. I've attempted to ignore you, hoping that you would go away, but you are apparently too dumb for that. I enjoy baseball season, and would rather not deal with your bullshite all year. This is a just a nice warning. Keep going and I'll come with receipts and the very very few people who don't realize how big of a moron you are will soon realize.

Interesting that Brayden Simpson isn't on the list for second base for the simple fact that he's listed as one of the top 50 second basemen by D1. Looks like he's #5 on their list if I'm not mistaken. Definitely a good problem to have with multiple people we can plug in here after Dickinson's departure.

Brayden Simpson is another option here but will most likely see playing time at another position.

This was my note. He's an option here, but I think Dardar is a better fit. Positions at the collegiate level never make sense, they plug and play wherever they can get the best 9 hitters (usually).

I was pretty surprised D1 put him there and that high tbh. He's got some great measurables to project at the plate, but listing him as a 2nd baseman and at 5 was odd to me when there is so much unknown to him. I guess they project him to be LSUs starting 2nd baseman, but I'd also pick Dardar to settle in there with Simpson spending more time as the DH against LH pitching

Same. I saw it as a sort of engagement farming.

He had gaudy stats at High Point, but his stats against their better competition weren't stellar. So it will be an adjustment for him in the SEC. Compare that to Dardar coming from the Big 12 and it's a smaller adjustment.

I watched these guys in scrimmages but that is really just a limited look. Reaves for example looked great defensively his first fall here but obviously he has some holes.
So for what it's worth. I don't recall seeing any errors from Dardar fall or spring but like Adam said he has some limits on range. Reaves has some speed and athleticism but needs to prove his glove can be consistent. Simpson has made some highlight plays and then some routine errors. He might be behind Reaves, Dardar and Ruckert defensively but has some tools to work with. Ruckert has made a few errors and has been getting reps at SS this spring unlike the fall. Dardar is getting reps at 3B this spring, unlike the fall.

He doesn't chase at all. He is probably the most patient hitter on the team. He is more likely to take a strike looking than swinging. Plog struck him out last weekend and his bat didn't leave his shoulder.

Top-5 second baseman in the country, but didn’t crack the top-3 at LSU. We loaded!

Kidding, man. I see your note. I’m curious if Simpson sees time at 2B as the RH-hitting option?

3 positions down and no 80 power yet? I guess you're saving it for Monster.

You saying this makes me think maybe Carraway at 2B and Simpson/Pearson at 3rd/DH against a righty, but I can't remember if carraway has spent time there since coming here. I remember him getting reps at SS, but not 2B.

If Carraway is the better defensive option of those 3 I just listed at 2b and the other lefty 2B options can't hit LHP, then that very well might be how this plays out

Then transversely, if Carraway, Simpson, Pearson struggle against righties, Then it's Reaves and Dardar and the best RH hitter of the the 3 above (Or maybe Harden or Braun at DH) between 2nd/3rd/DH

Holy shite Jay has some options

I know 1B isn't a given and could play in this rotation, but I'm beginning to get the feeling that Yorke will end up there everyday so I left that out from the above equations

Here is your accusing me of saying that the pitching staff is as good as advertised (which in fact i did say), but then when that turned out to be true you started constantly repeating that I said the pitching staff WASN'T as good as advertised.

quote:

If you listen to Hold That Tiger 10 its good as advertised. But our # 2 and 3 guys struggled this week against the worst team in the SEC

LINK

And since you refuse to shut the frick up, here is more of what YOU said about the pitching staff. Specifically about Eyanson.

quote:

I said in his first start he was not that impressive and i got blasted. Well what now people. he leaves alot of pitches in the wheel house.

LINK

quote:

Lol no no its not.

We have Anderson then a bunch of throwers

LINK

quote:

But but they all said this was best pitching staff ever

LINK

quote:

I said it the first game he pitched against Purdue he doesn't fool anybody.

And the people said well give him time, give him a few games, give him that give him this. Guess what i was right again

LINK

And now that we established that you are a lieing piece of shite. And since I know the other thing you repeat is me saying Reaves should start at 3B over Braswell. Although what I said was Reaves was a better hitter than Braswell and I expected him to take 3B IF HE COULD HANDLE IT DEFENSIVELY. Here is YOU looking for replacement 3B options.

quote:

Josh? Maybe but i would try Bear at 3B and Frey or Pearson the freshman at 1B. You giving up some defense but you get an extra guy in there who can hit it out. Just

LINK

Now will you move on and finally shut the frick up. You've repeated the same lies on here for a year now constantly.

You said the pitching staff was not as good as advertised and i'm 10000% correct on that. Crawfish all you want on that statement but its 100% true..

Yes i said i was not impressed with Eyanson in his first 2 starts. His pitches were up. But he found himself. No where did i say i was not impressed with the whole pitching staff like you said.
