Yes he sometimes calls innings early if pitch counts get high

Is Jay ending the innings early so the pitchers don't overextend?

No, Jay is asking you to post this at least one more time. 4th times the charm

Very seldom does the pitch count exceed 30 pitches per half inning during scrimmages.

There was a runnner on 3rd i think so id assume jay was trying to steal a run. That play was like 1 for 50 last year but its jay so we forgive him

Offense may be better than advertised. Will be very interested to see how the IF ultimately shakes out.

Not necessarily going out on a limb with this, but I think Santi Garcia is going to play a key role on this pitching staff.

The overused comp is Griffin Herring, but I do think he will be a multi inning reliever here with a chance to be a starter in the minor leagues.

He doesn't get mentioned enough. Looked good last night and great in Biloxi this past fall. I believe Jay mentioned he has some unique qualities that can make him difficult for hitters.

It is usually posted here on TD first after coaches committee members get the email. Also LSU baseball social media will put it out much closer to the day of the scrimmages.

Be aware that player's parents have been notified that Saturday's 1 pm scrimmage has been canceled due to the expected inclement weather. Today's 3 pm scrimmage is expected to be extended slightly to 9 innings due to the cancellation.

Watching Garcia's southpaw delivery again last night I could see how hard it would be to pick up the ball at release. His pickoff move is pretty good also. Looks like he could be a factor when he gets his opportunities IMO.

Alot of arms to fit in today. I wonder if some get pushed back to next week. This would also help push some of this week's Wednesday/Thursday arms by a day to eventually get them on standard rest for opening weekend.
