All those that wanted him fired have been fired. The person on board with giving him a second shot is now president of LSU.
Nc state might be a basketball school but they will always be second fiddle in the state to UNC and Duke.
They also seem to be not living up to their promises.
Wade still has the major boosters behind him here, and we have proven NIL that really delivers. LSU absolutely can money whip NC State if we felt like it. I’m pretty sure McLoser is making more than Wade currently.
The only thing NC state has is a fluke title. Florida and arky have passed us in basketball but you win two titles and you are back on even ground with them. Outside of the NC winning sec schools we have the best basketball history

Imagine calling yourself a "basketball" school when your average conference finish over the last 25 years has been 8th. When you've been to 12 NCAA Tournaments in 25 years (LSU has been to 9). When you are paying your current HC LESS than LSU is paying their HC....who is the lowest paid in the SEC.
NC State is only a "basketball school" in the minds of LSU fans...who, every January, prove they know very little about college basketball.

It’s the bullshite dickie V pushing his friend Jimmy V that makes people think nc state is some basketball school. They are a backwater in their own state and conference

Way too much read into this. Wade was let go by Fat Scott because Scott was throwing him under the bus to protect the football program. That's all he could have meant. And that issue is resolved with Verge and new President.

Yea people reading way too much into that. Wade isn’t going to bad mouth the team he is coaching at in public. It would be really dumb even if he had a deal to leave. It also kneecaps him getting more, if he looks desperate to leave nc state why would you pay up to get him.

well that is a given but they are in basketball country and nc state football and baseball is trash unlike LSU.

Some of you need to give this fantasy up. He's at a school that prioritizes basketball more than football so why would he come back here, especially since he was sacrificed for the football program?

I will say it again and I still found it hard to believe but I have a friend that is a big booster and he had lunch in Raleigh, NC a few weeks ago with a guy that is friends with Wade and he said Wade is not currently happy with the situation at NCST and that they have not kept their end of the bargain when he was hired. I too was surprised when I saw Wade's comments about NCST after what my friend told me but yes he is not going to bad mouth his employer and maybe he uses LSU to strengthen his position with NCST. We shall see but he will definitely be approached that is for sure.

It is more of a basketball school than LSU and Wade has publicly said it is the best job he has ever had. They also went to a final 4 in 2024.

It's a better basketball school, it's not a basketball school. And as sharply as football revenue has risen, I doubt there will be many "basketball schools" that have football progrms in the P4 conferences going forward.
LSU has the revnue to push the basketball program foward, I just doubt that Wade will be the guy that happens with. I would love to see it but I doubt it will happen. appen.
