And how many of them want to come clean up this mess?
What mess?
That the team is no good? That falls at the feet of the current HC....who would be replaced. In case you haven't been paying attention, basketball programs can be rebuilt in one offseason
In one offseason Wade built a roster and engineered the biggest single season turnaround in NCAA history at McNeese. This season, with an nearly entirely new roster at NC State (I think they returned 1 or 2 players), he's already won more games (both overall and in conf. play) than NC State won last year.
This isn't like when he showed up 2017 and was essentially forced to inherit the majority of Jones's roster with the only ability to add to it being JUCO players or HS signees. He, like virtually every HC that takes a new job now, would start with a fresh slate and a few thousand transfers and HS prospects at his disposal to build a new roster.

he said Wade is not currently happy with the situation at NCST
Their NIL has not been what they promised him and of course the public branding issues that have been talked about. The AD and Wade also currently do not have a good relationship.

The only real question is what is LSU going to do in the interim next year, waiting on Wade to give NC St the same commitment he gave McNeese
There are definite obstacles for him to take over next year. Some of his own doing.

They will you can bet on that.

he is 4th fiddle in NC right now. I could see it being possible as he seems to really care about our president that was willing to give him a shot at McNeese to rehab his image. So for those reasons i could see it. whether it happens or not, who knows. I'm sure it is a fluid situation. presser at 3:50

Anyone who has said this is either making it up or is just wrong. He is 100% interested. That doesn't mean he will, but he is definitely interested.
Sauces have indicated he’s not happy with Verge from when he was fired and his wife doesn’t want to come back here.

Nc state prioritizes it yes but we are currently paying more for 15-47 than they are for wade so even with baseball being third place here we are more money in than nc state

Calling it now…no he won’t.

I think Wade would demand the type of NIL commitment he sees the football program getting. I’m not sure that’s going to happen. And honestly if LSU doesn’t commit big bucks to basketball does it really matter who the coach is anyway?

What is the fascination with WW with some losers on this site? I really dont understand it.
There's better coaches out there... theres bad history in general. Why even bother? its really a strange deal on this board.
I have a lot of friends that graduated, follow LSU sports since I'm alumni and the Wade's name never comes up in the real world!

It really makes no sense. If we could get him, that means NC State doesn't want him anymore. Which means he might not be all that great in the NIL era.
There are better options.

People keep saying LSU is not a “basketball” school. What does that even mean? We have a basketball team don’t we? Does this mean we shouldn’t be able to compete with the best of them?

Right! Like saying Indiana is a basketball school

Your dedication to dumb opinions remains admirable.
I’m a little skeptical about this Kiffin guy. LSU got him…so that must mean Ole Miss just didn’t want him

LSU football is a better job than Ole Miss.
NC State in basketball is a better job than LSU
