It's an unanswerable question without speaking to every kid that has come to LSU. This is stupid.

I don’t know if they can point to that as the sole reason a player commits to us, but I’m sure it helps put us on some players’ radars and makes it easier to get our foot in the door. Once there it’s all Jay and his recruiters.
Jay doesn’t do anything haphazardly. He has his reasons. If he believes we are getting paid well to play there and it increases our chances of signing players by even 1%, he’ll do it.
He didn’t release our Sunday starter because UCF didn’t release their Sunday starter. Might not make a difference, but he wants whatever edge he can get.

You think there are players in Texas that don’t have LSU on their radar, especially players that LSU wants?

I didn’t say I think we get more players because of these tournaments. I was quoting Jay. But, Ok. You’re right. I’ll tell Jay to stop playing in these tournaments because it’s not doing for him what he thinks.

I didn’t claim to be right about anything. You said you think playing in these tournaments puts LSU on the radar of Texas players that LSU is recruiting. I just asked if you really believe that those kids wouldn’t have LSU on their radar if not for them playing in these tournaments.

Well the first tournament we played as part of the 5 year deal was 2023. So we signed the deal when it had been like 14 years since we had won a championship and before Jay won 2. So even though we have a national reputation, at that time it wasn’t what it is now, so yes, this may have helped put us and Jay on some kids radars.

Had laptop volume all the way up & could barely hear Ben & Lyn but at least it didn’t freeze

The stream seemed laggy to me earlier. Don't think it was on my end. Don't have any other issues with streaming.

I don't even care, I just like going into Texas playing wherever we want after winning 2 out of 3 NC's and shoving it in TAMU and UT's face.
