Go back and look at how many true freshmen started on the defense last year ahead of older vets. Go look. Give an honest answer.

The “kELlY oNlY plAYs vETs” narrative is one of the most factually inaccurate and indefensible myths on this board. A simple, honest look back at the last 3 years of data will wipe that shite away.

Doesn't matter who starts. Multiple LBs will play significant roles this year.

And this is why this entire argument and the OP’s mega-melt over it is fricking ridiculous.

Historically is this true?

He started Perkins, Campbell, Jones, Taylor as freshmen.

Whit Wheeks got a ton of time.

he tried to get Hears in but it didn’t work.

Green got playing time.

if Durham is healthy all year he probably starts the back half the season.

What if I told you that no player is perfect and no matter how talented you are you are going to make mistakes from time to time and that Keys is still the better and more talented player over West Weeks?

As expected you are getting bludgeoned to hell and back for that post, but the truth is you are exactly right. West is pretty good but he’s not his brother. Keys was a straight up playmaker whenever he was in the game last year and if he’s doing the same in fall practice then he should get to start. But who knows maybe West Weeks somehow found more speed and agility this year.

i thought he was very impressive last year but i think West is sliding into Greg Penn’s spot initially.

Keys played next to Penn.

I want our best guys out there but they aren’t always interchangeable.

He saw time last year and by all accounts has improved. He will play 1/4-1/3 of all plays as LB I bet with the only players having a bigger share being Whit and Perk (if he’s even a LB)

If West does start or get more PT than Keys, this would feel like another example of BK going with experience over talent.

Nnnnnnoooo, this would be another example of one of the best coaches in the history of college football being qualified to make calls, while a piss any nobody like you who obviously knows squat about football makes a God damn STUPID post!

I knew this would originally get downvoted bc the TR (and the OT and Poli Board) is full of little bitches, but I don't give a shite.

Nooooo, it is being downvoted in epic proportion because your posts bring down the average IQ of TR posts by about 50 points. Tell the bartender to cut you off so you can sober up.

You know what would make this board a lot better...for you to go away with your arrogant statements and stay the frick away, you dimwitted NOBODY!

I don't give a frick. The best player will play.

I trust the coaches to make those decisions.
