re: For the Fire Sloan Group

He sucks. Go look at the 2-point conversion. Says it all. Most pathetic 2-point conversion call I have ever seen considering we had zero running game.

You'll be amazed if you truly think Sloans play calling is an issue
Now defend the 2 point play call.
Also, more than 1 thing can be true. The players not executing doesn’t mean the OC is doing a good job.
And if the offense can’t execute what he’s calling, he needs to either adjust his play calls or adjust the on field personnel. He’s done neither.
He’s the HEAD OF THE OFFENSE for gods sake.
How can anyone defend him at this point?

I wish Sloan would have switched his play calls to short passes and runs before halftime. When the second quarter was like 3/4 over, I told my dad Sloan is as much at fault as Nuss if he keeps calling these deep routes and going 3 and out.
Thankfully he changed his play calling pretty significantly to start the second half.
I don’t love Sloan but I’m not screaming to fire him. The O line is inept, we can’t run the ball, the WRs are dropping way WAY too many balls, and Nuss is having tons of problems.

BK is head of the offense. And he dictates personnel.
BK gives Baker more leeway.

He called 9 run plays in the first half against the worst rush defense in the sec. Sloan sucks, has always sucked and will continue to suck

The O line can’t block.
They are disguising the runs with that WR motion to the RB position to get some level of run game.
The issue is the o line and TE blocking.

For those calling for Sloan to be fired, I implore you to rewatch the game. No emotions, just watch the game. Pay attention to WRs routes, Nuss' throws, and how much room Nuss has to run the ball when they only rush 3 OL.
This reminds me of The Les days and being asked why his offense is struggling and play selection. “players aren’t executing the plays”.
It’s on Sloan
After 5 games, no one can identify what LSU is trying to establish offensively. You can identify what most teams are doing schematically to set up the next play or lean on defensive weakness.

Dude…it is trickle down
He is in charge of that group. He is clueless. They are running concepts for man vs 8-man zones. On 3rd and 4 we have 2 guys running 10-15 yard routes, one running a flat, one running a hitch middle of the field. He is the worst coach we have ever had
At least Pelini was good at one point. Sloan is clueless and doesn’t know how to change. It is actually terrifying. This guy’s offense is less creative than half the HS’s in Louisiana

I don’t have to rewatch the game. That shitty call on the conversion should be enough to

You have to cater your offense for the strengths of Nuss. If he can’t make the plays you have to adapt the offense for him to be successful. That’s Sloan’s job
Posted on 9/28/25 at 2:04 pm to Pauvetibete
Don't have to convince me. Nuss is the problem and BK is responsible because he leaves him in.

So, Sloan's wife finally made it to Tigerdroppings. Welcome.
That's not his wife, it's Joe. He should be in a film study with hard headed Nuss all day long today, yet, here he is trying to justify how bad he is.

So, how often does the wr get the ball in this formation?? That’s how predictable our formation/play calling is
Posted on 9/28/25 at 2:11 pm to Pauvetibete
Joe Sloan has never had an offense finish in the top 100 in rushing. Do you think that’s good?
If LSU doesn’t have offensive players that are talented enough, whose fault is that?
If the offensive players aren’t being developed enough, whose fault is that?
If LSU can’t run the ball, and doesn’t even attempt to, against the worst rush defense in the SEC, whose fault is that?

For starters, against zone, you need some sit down routes ( didn't do much of it at all ). Running deep routes, especially with his injury, he isn't making those far hash outs into the seams. So, yes, I put that on Sloan.

I always rewatch the games the next day. Side project of mine is breaking down film for fun. Its just time consuming to time stamp everything and then explain pros or cons.
Id do it a lot more often if they wouldn't get insta deleted to educate people.

You cannot effectively run the ball just out of shotgun with a QB who can’t run.
It helps but definitely not 100% true.

Are you sure the WRs and TEs are running precise routes? The WRs have trouble lining up.
