Which is the worst part of his coaching. Fine… Give him the year zero thing… That means three years of complete turnover and all rosters still a complete fail… Dudes roster management skills are zero and shoulda let him go last year

You don't need to forget the last play and it doesnt need to be a this or that. It's all of it.

I'll even take it a step further.....name a better candidate for LSU specifically? Wade is meant for LSU just like Lane, Mulkey and Johnson are.

Be careful, you’re going to be told it’s because of NIL. This is year 1 because he finally got the financial support to complete.

It’s all BS he should have been let go last year. Vandy and Mizzo are literally at the top of the SEC this year and both have been dumpster fires in the last 1-2 years.

And some think Wade is the only option.

He should get a call and will but he’s not the only guy.

Im not saying his the only option but he is the BEST fit imo…has coached college bball in the state 7 of the last 8 seasons and taken both of those schools to heights they haven’t seen in a minute. Truth.

Big problem with that argument is it’s just not accurate, it isn’t his first year and the only thing that could get him fam support is winning…but he hasn’t and lost fan support already. Not ever having a face of the team hasn’t helped either. It is what it is.

Wade is compelling because it’s the opposite, he never lost support and was actually picking up.

Who cares about basketball. When were we ever a BB school. Keep the NIL money for football and baseball.

Is there any way we can have a do-over? Let's just remove the last play!

And to play advocate's devil: That guy McMahon can coach. He's just challenged at finding ways to win.

This screams sidewalk fan who never attended LSU. Forgive me if I am wrong, but if you ever attended school at LSU you would understand that basketball was most likely an important part of the student experience at some point during your four years on campus, unless you attended before Pete Maravich or during the McMahon tenure.

Before Texas and OU joined the conference we were one of four SEC schools with multiple final 4 appearances. We have produced the second most NBA players all time in the conference only behind Kentucky. Our all time starting 5 would rival any freaking school in the country including Duke, UNC, and UCLA. LSU basketball has had great moments and is capable of being a premiere program. There is no excuse for us to be the only school in the conference not giving a shite, especially when we were the winningest program in the conference over a multiple year stretch less than a decade ago.

Just allow the season to play out, and then discuss the firing option. I see seven wins coming up- not all these teams are basketball juggernauts like Kentucky who regard winning as the only option. McMahon isn't perfect, but the season is salvagable. An NIT fit isn't the worst outcome

I really don’t get how people were saying this roster is McMahon’s most talented by far. I genuinely think on paper this is his third best roster.

Maybe in raw talent, but I think as it pertains what he wants to do I think its the best "fit" he has had here.

I really hope you are trolling. This Kentucky team is not a juggernaut and is most likely their worst team in the last 15-20 years. Also, the NIT this year is a fireable offense still.

Guys, time to face the facts. Wade is NEVER coming back. That is reality.

why waste time pursuing him? He’s at a good school with a solid/high profile program. He would have no motivation to make a lateral or maybe even step down to come back to a school that fired him, lol!

He's at a better basketball school.

Should we gauge his interest? Of course, we should.

Will we, more likely now than last year, but I am not sure if there are people in the building who would oppose it, and by not sure, I mean I literally have 0 idea.

He can't be the only plan, though. Explore anyone who we think may be available and an upgrade. I'd start with Billy Donovan, but that is probably just a fever dream of mine
