Yes

I wish I had funny people like that in our section. I have Mr. and Mrs. Douche that sit in front of me and a different set on either side of me every week.

For the OP, LSU fans have always left early. What changed is we now have Tigerdroppings to bitch about it. It's not like it's some brand new problem. In the 90's, we were damn lucky to even fill the stadium up and Pregame was like a funeral march compared to now, so I'm not complaining. I remember when "the bottom of the hill" was about 1,000 people tops.

Why are there a hundred threads about this crap? We just played a shitty NORTH TEXAS team after a hurricane left thousands of people without power for a few days across Louisiana. The stadium for the Washington game next week will be packed.

I hate people that leave early; I also hate the people that stay the whole game.

When we're up by 21 on someone and run it 12 plays in a row as an effective offense and score, regular fans will not stay and watch, it's just how its always going to be.

When I was a student, we had the 4th quarter "rule of 30." If the fourth quarter lead was divisible by 30, we'd leave early, but usually halfway thru the fourth. I stayed till the end of all SEC games.

I don't think I've ever been to Tiger Stadium and not stayed for Fourth Quarter. To me, that's almost as big as Pregame.

I would be just fine with eliminating the elaborate tailgate setups.

I just don't understand the mindset, and I guess I never will.

I think you also have to factor in that sometimes we're just not very fun or exciting to watch, particularly on offense. Les is known for winning ugly, and people don't want to watch the same 3 or 4 plays being run over and over again, even if they don't work. I don't think that's a good enough excuse to leave, because that is how LSU football is going to be as long as Miles is in BR.

Me, too, Jim. It's almost become a competition for some of these douches. And, like the photo, they're always holding those shitty Michelob Ultras.

I married a "leaver" and I'm a "stayer". It eventually lead to a divorce, that, and the fact that she was dating other guys.

I was a student during some bad years and the tailgating was the highlight back then too. The stadium is hot and cramped and doesn't serve alcohol so the hangover starts during the game.

8 Saturdays at out 365 days a year are reserved for LSU football. That's such a blip of the year that it barely registers. When I'm in the stadium, I'm staying the whole damn game. Regardless of opponent, score, or if they're having the biggest parties of all time outside.

I love tailgating, but when it's game time, it's game time. Nothing else is more important to me and I'll never understand the mindset of others that it isn't

I got for LSU football, tailgating is just pre game fun.

So yes I do think it has to many, but not to me.

Leaving when the game is somewhat close, or worse, when LSU is behind is something else.

When you pay for my tickets you can tell me when to leave. Until then join on of the many other threads bitching about something else.

There's only one thing that I don't care for with the tailgating. The douches that set up near the bottom of the hill - turn down your shitty music when the band is coming. TIA

EST has it right. This is about supporting the TEAM.

A few years back i brought a friends son with me to a game. The kid was on his high school team and he was 3rd string at best but he went to practice, suited up and stood on the sideline. The ONLY time he saw playing time was if they were way ahead in the 4th quarter. So this kid asks me why we stayed till the end of the LSU blowout. I looked at him and said I owed it to the guys on the team, the guys on the bench that might not play but are part of the team. I told him I didn't leave his games early. He understood.

I still feel that way. Those kids bust their arse to make it on the team we all love and for 8 weeks out of the year, we should be able to attend the whole game and applaud them at the end. That's how I show my support.
