He always pulls him way too early, and he got a damn good arm. Seemed to be one of the few guys who competes in these midweek games on the mound.

If Rizzi hasn’t ruined him yet I have a hard time believing Benge has

He had a 5.73 ERA at DBU.
He had a 6.75 ERA last year
He has a 9.00 ERA this year
A career 6.23 ERA in 46 games. If Jay hates him, it’s well deserved.

I agree with jay on benge last year showed me enough on him. I figured he would have transferred out if I’m being honest. No clue why he thinks tanner reaves should ever bat again his abs are terrible.

Rizy control issues suck, but People act like Rizy is the standard for bad pitching around here. He’s not as bad as people are making him out to be.

Lachenmayer comes in, hits a guy on the first pitch and Jay yanks him. Every outing now.
Lach is just getting warmed up.

Is that "warmed up" hitting people?

This is such a typical ranter thread. Dumbasses that think they know shite but don’t.

Lachenmayer's role is to come in for one batter to get an out vs. a LH batter that doesn't fare well against LHPs. He knows he's going to face one guy when he walks on the field. It's not Jay's fault that the last two pitches Danny has thrown have hit batters.

It’s all about controlling the strike zone for Benge. Walks and cookies galore….still. I wish it weren’t so.

The thing is, he's been good this season about limiting walks and hit batters (none so far in 14 batters faced), but he has given up 5 hits, 4 singles, a double, and 3 earned runs in 3 innings pitched.
ETA: 56 pitches - 38 strikes

The view on Rizy is one of the few things I agree with Scone on. If you bring him in in a clean inning, he fairs well. Probably walks one guy but also probably gets out of it unscathed. Instead, he’s brought in with 2 guys on and 0/1 out. Without fail at least one of those runs score, usually more, and those earned runs end up on someone else’s line. It’s impossible not to see the potential he has as a guy who can touch upper 90s with a tough slider, but it’s also impossible not to see the fact that he’s as “unclutch” as just about any pitcher I’ve seen at LSU in years

Yet Jay will stick Primeaux out there and let him hit 3 batters and walk a couple more.

Primeaux is last on the staff in IP (2) and appearances (3) this year.
