Pitching and luck won the day — sure wasn’t Jay Johnson’s offense

Nah, the other time he had a few good offensive pieces from Maineri (Dylan, Tre etc) and then Lipsey paid Tanks/Skenes etc when the NIL rules came into play.

Championship.

He even admitted inheriting Dylan et al was a big pull to LSU

Remember when I asked you this in April?
quote:

Genuine question

Pretend LSU and Tennessee remain constructed 100% as is for the remainder of the season. LSU hosts, Tennessee travels for a super. LSU wins a title. Tennessee gets knocked out in their super.

What is your take? Who would be the better team? Who would be the better coach?
Considering the scenario I laid out played exactly, what's your answer pal? Little Tony couldn't even get his team filled with draft picks to host their own super. Meanwhile, his counterpart swept through Omaha and won his second national title in 3 years. Pretty embarrassing.

Nah. He doesn't get to come back and act like nothing happened. People need to be reminded the retarded shite he spewed all baseball season.

Weeks was still in on the last defensive play of the game...think he plays.

Oh then he must have multiple CWS titles. He also must be a better coach than Skip Bertman and
Augie Garrido, considering neither of them coached in the MLB.

Agh we got so lucky that we swept a team in the CWS that we also took 2/3 from in the regular season. Tony went 1-4 against the same club by the way.

Never mind the fact that Arkansas got two runs and tied the game off of a rare LSU error.

Oddly enough, poor ole Jay was seemingly the only coach who's team didn't "implode." Oh well, I guess holding the team together is something that only the greats can do.

Still can't believe this is the best that you can come up with. You had 5 months.

You also didn't answer my question about the scenario I set forth.

He didn't star the second half. It was odd. I wonder if he has mono or something.

Scoreboard is all that matters, so incredibly happy to win the Natty. That’s the bottom line.

But since this is a chat board, it’s worth pointing out that this team was not like most Champion teams. Sometimes the sun just shines on you.

As for imploding, I’m not sure the offense was good enough to implode. When you implode, it requires you being good/productive at something and then underperforming through your own undoing.
