They “attacked” the portal this year and got like 5 guys. They have recruited average and been horrible in the portal. Even if they go all in there’s only so many guys to go around and Clemson is not known to be big money guys. Not sure if Williams the WR is coming back, but Wesco and Moore are so they have some receivers (assuming they stay).
They lose 3 out of 4 DL. They lose their 2nd best LBer, their best CB, their best safety is in the portal. They got better as the season went on, but replacing an entire OL with a new QB and replacing half the defense does not say you will be very good game 1.
They went 7-5 in a league that had a 5 loss team make the conference championship. Tiger Stadium, Lane’s offense with Baker’s defense, I would be shocked if we lost.

Who would have thought both of those potential 1st round Quarterbacks would play so poorly they would end up getting drafted in later rounds.

Worst than this year. Kiffin will run up the score on Dabo’s youngsters and the tiggers from Clemson will have a lot to run their mouths about after the beatdown. It’s going to be like what we did to Virginia Tech 15-20 years ago. Be sure to offer the faithful Clemson fans some Jambalaya while they at in Baton Rouge. Got to give them at least one good memory of this game.

It will all depend on which QB LK selects. If we go with a young unproven QB or a QB coming off a serious injury, LSU may not be any better offensively early in the season, which could be a problem.

They will be decent but not good or great by no means. i can see Ole Miss dropping down to decent range too depending on how many leave in portal. they will be much different team next year.

They lost three games but won a shitty ACC and were a playoff team in 2024
They had the same record we did this year but finished on a four game win streak. Like us. they were a miserable failure at meeting expectations.
Was 2025 the new norm or a one off year for their program? Probably somewhere in between, which means a good but not elite team. Obviously, we should field a better team that took the field in Clemson last year, but regardless, it is going to be a tough game.
