I was shocked Kelly was not more successful.
Some people will look at this and call LSU crazy and lunatics.
But in reality, it shows commitment to not accept less than the best. It also shows the passion of your athletic donors, who we’re willing to pay big sooner, rather than allow things to continue to get worse.

This is exactly what happened.
Orgeron gutted the organization, not just the players. He broke most of what Saban had built and Miles had maintained.
Kelly wasn't worth 100 mil for his schemes, offensively or defensively. If that's what you looked at, you'd say "WTF is LSU doing".
But- he was probably the top option for building/rebuilding a program "behind the scenes" stuff. LSU desperately needed that, to fix the circus O left. And they got the top guy for that job. And the only way they could get him was to pay through the nose, but they figured it was worth it to fix things.
So, Kelly has done his job. Now, it's a matter of making the move before things backslide because of this year's issues. And if the target is Kiffin, you can't wait with Florida on the market.
