I think its somewhat to are advantage that were an underdog ,its much easier to get that heightened concentration and work ethic when you know that you will have to play your best to win.

I dont think we took usc serious and fsu the first year. the last time we played fsu I think it was just getting beat by a better team

can't agree with your qb assessment. Travis was an awesome college qb. He raised the level of that FSU team. watching him play, he was great! Klubnick is good, but I'd rather have Travis in college.

Show competency on the sidelines?

Quit chasing women and playing golf long enough to get a game plan together?

Field a defense that isn’t a pile of dog shite?

Put together a special teams unit that isn’t the laughingstock of college football?

That’s fair Travis was damn good at FSU I just think klubnik at his best is flat out better. He has a higher ceiling

Everything you said is spot on. On paper their the most talented team we’ve started the season agaisnt in the BK era even more then that FSU team.

I might quibble with whether or not they are better than the second FSU team we played but it's close enough IMHO to where we are splitting hairs, they are talented.

We got the players to go into fake Death Valley and win but we will have to locked in from the time kickoff starts.

I think that we do - my only concern is that while I do think our o-line is talented and will be very good at some point in the season, they have not played together much and Clemson's D-line is their strength.

Clemson lost their top RB to the draft. Their next most experienced RB had 295 yds last season.

If our run defense isn’t vastly improved it won’t matter who is running the ball back there

[quote]I believe having an experienced Nuss under center will alleviate a lot of the issues. [quote]

Agreed. Playing at College Station and the Swamp is as tough as it gets. Even though we lost both games, Nuss got the feel for playing in a crazy environment, especially a night game at Kyle Field. He won't be rattled by the atmosphere.

Coach Kelly has won exactly one big game in the road since coming to LSU- at Mizzou 23- and that needs to change!

"They're stacked" - we play "stacked" SEC teams every year.
They have "3" / "6" first round picks. We play bama every year who usually has numerous first round picks.
They're going to be ranked #2 in the country. We'll be ranked # 6

Should be a great game. Remember, Clemson is getting extra "love" because they're the ACC heavy favorite and will get an automatic playoff spot by winning a weak ACC.

Lot's to be concerned about but recent (last year's esp) D had a knack for allowing opposing QBs to pad their Heisman stats in an ugly way. Klubnik is no track athlete. Need to pressure him early and often along with a lot of other areas.

Our Dline will be all up in his shite all game long. I predict that'll be the difference in the game, along with an LSU returned punt or kickoff.

What makes you think Clemsons D Line won’t be in Nuss’ shite all game?

Probably will, and good call. But do not sleep on special teams for LSU.

So I live outside of Clemson, have for many years. Worked at the university for a few years in early 2000's.
I've been wearing purple and gold here since day 1. They don't like us, they respect us because we have beaten them pretty much every time we play. Exception being the les miles clock management debacle in the peach bowl.

They have a very good squad but...I believe if we show up prepared and bring our A game....We win.

Lots of chatter here about Klubnik and W.R.'s....no problem with that.
Lots of talent....but they don't play well when there's a talented defense lined up opposite of their offense. If our defense improves as i suspect we have....they score under 20.

The d line is over rated. Espn and the talking heads rave over this group....but the locals here in the media do not!! In fact....Woods is considered an under achieving player.

In the end, it will be a tough atmosphere and they have talent, but do your research....they don't play anyone! When they do....they don't look so elite.

Hey Grizzly, good thread but never invite us to the picnic table without some boiled crawfish and beers. Otherwise, we're good.
