I like what I heard, and the way he said it, and he is definitely passionate about what LSU SHOULD be. I certainly hope he gets an interview so he can make his case as to why he is the right hire for our program.

And completely out of your wheelhouse. But at least you’re apparently learning to just move in lol

Pretty sure all had zero head coaching experience when they were hired.

Add Dan Lanning and Lincoln Riley to that list.

I'm starting to think Kelvin Sheppard is our best case scenario. LSU is going to have a real hard time attracting a big name coach to this political loony bin.

Correct, and beyond that, every coach at some point had no head coaching experience. It's a crazy thought pattern. I don't understand why people think LSU absolutely needs a coach with previous head coaching experience. It's fricking baffling.

Interesting seeing some LSU fans want to hire what’s basically our version of Marcus Freeman after all the visceral Marcus Freeman hate on this board the last four years.

Freeman was a DC for 6 years, and coaching in college for 12.
Kelvin Shepard has been a DC for 7 GAMES and save 1 year as an analyst spent his 4 year coaching career in the pros. They are not the same.

Yeah, these people keep throwing out big names with zero head coaching experience and continue to leave out how long they were actual coordinators for.. people trying to say this is the Best we can get

Not just because he's an LSU guy. Go listen to what people say about him as a coach and as a leader of young men. Sheppard is a rising star.

People - including former LSU players, said the same thing about House…and that was only a coordinator position. HC is another ballgame.

It’s a higher than normal risk.

There’s no confusion nor lack of understanding, because there’s nothing to understand.

I guess preteens don’t think critically.

True but it is now obvious that BK had many issues that prevented him from being successful here
