He's one of those "Too cool for school " types. He wants to be edgy and cool but comes across as a douchebag that doesnt care.
i remember when Saban started at LSU , he took some publlic speaking classes and really worked on his presentation. i read thats where he picked up using his hands a lot when he talks to keep peoples' attention.

Occasionally, I guess, if you can get past his odd vernacular. But often times his press conferences were downright painful to listen to. The "hammer and nail" and the "kiss them on the lips... if its a girl" post game pressers come to mind. The dude was just weird and he was an idiot. But for a long time he won a lot of games so we embraced him. He was our idiot.
Lane comes off as a prick in my opinion. He seems disinterested and sarcastic in general but sometimes he has good moments.
Brian Kelly is ok he's just a little dry and boring.
Mike Leach was the goat. May he RIP.

I’m shocked. A lot of coaches are.

Agreed. Just watched this weeks. He has the worst body language and horrible tone in his voice. He needs some better PR coaching/training.

He sure does Tweet clever though don't he? Though the passive/agressive part still applies!

I don't know why you think this. I think it's pretty inarguable that he has a great offensive mind. Plenty of no name coaches have worked their way up the ladder. In fact, most coaches don't have brand names. They were subpar college players who went the GA route after college.
Kiffin started his career as a GA at Fresno St, where he went to college, then to Colorado St as an assistant. Then as a tight ends coach at USC. Maybe he got his first head coaching job in the NFL because of his dad, but he also fell on his arse, was fired, and had to rebuild his reputation as a coach. Had to do that after getting fired at USC as well, and then again after he was fired at Alabama.
I'm not sure I'd ever hire a guy with his baggage at a major program, but there is a vast ocean between that and no better than a D3 coach. He's a fine coach for a program like Ole Miss and has won more there than anyone they've had since Johnny Vaught

Why is he a garbage human? Stop the hate for a man just doing his job, and doing it well.
D3 huh.... Then explain this
2024 D1 Stats at Ole Miss
Offense Overall #2- 3,460 Yards, 577 YPG, 44 PPG
Defense Overall #12- 267 YPG
Rushing #1- 67 YPG
PPG #3- 7.5
Those stats are impressive for a garbage man named Kiffin!!
I'm sure Ole Miss fans enjoy this garbage man being their head coach. His stats last year were tops in offense, which he is known for. He went out and got himself a solid defense for 2024... Now, with that said, I hope we hang 35-40 on his defense this Saturday, and our defense shows up to beat Mr. Kiffin like 40-31.

I said this the other day but Kiffin needs to thank Saban every day for hiring him and re-habbing his career. He had already accepted the job at Florida Atlantic or wherever the hell it was, so he showed his immaturity once again in getting himself fired.
I just still don't get the shine. I get he's a very good offensive mind, but he's failed up a lot in his career.

he's left a trail of plowed co-eds at every stop, mostly when he was married, he was drunk and driving after a game in Knoxville one night, with a co-ed in the car and got into a wreck, made a quick call and got a ride to his apartment, not home where his wife was, with said co-ed, cops didn't even get involved

he didn't even fail at Alabama. His issues there were off the field. He did well at FAU. They were 9-27 the 3 years before he got there. He went 26-13 in 3 years there with 2 10-win seasons. Ole Miss was 15-21 under Matt Luke. Kiffin is 39-16 through 4+ seasons there. He can clearly coach.
Even if you go back further in his career. He was fired by the Raiders, and "fell up" to Tennessee which was a struggling program at the time. He turned them around and signed atop 5 class before taking the USC job. He was fired there, then "fell up" to a non head coaching job. Then "fell up" to FAU, a G5 program that had never been good. Then "fell up" to Ole Miss which was in the doormat of the SEC.
Look, I don't like the guy, but pretending he's not a good coach is silly. If you want to argue about how good he is and whether he's one of the better coaches in the league, then that's completely fair.

Another annoying thing is the way he toys with his own fanbase. Guy posted a picture, with no caption, of an Aligator swimming in a pond before the SC game. With all the rumors about UF targeting him.

Ha good for him! Who cares if he is smashing some youngin
Now just about everything else he does is a crock of shite & takes advantage of everything that can be taken advantage of, ruining things for everyone. But he is winning rn and the whole thing has not crashed and burned just yet.
