This is the 2nd time I've heard an announcer question why a certain pitch was thrown with the shift on... basically we're shifting the infield then throwing a pitch that helps the batter hit toward the hole.
Announcers see it but the coaching staff doesn't?

Kade’s velocity is down. He normally will touch 94-95 but the most I’ve seen is 92.

That pitch was supposed to be started middle and finish just off. Instead it started in and left over. That’s why the shift didn’t work. It wasn’t the call
