Are you under the impression that D1 runs these tournaments?

February 19-21 2027:
BYU
Iowa
Cal Poly

February 26-28 2027:
Kansas
Michigan State
BYU

We are contracted to play in the Peak Events tournaments the next two years.

Bring the Busch Challenge back to the dome. 3 Louisiana teams vs 3 teams from another state. Used to be LSU, Tulane and UNO. You could replace UNO with ULL or Southeastern. It was a fun tournament back in the 80’s

Superdome isn't set up to host baseball anymore after the renovations.

It has also helped us recruit Texas very well, and Jay said they went to Jax this year because now the focus is to recruit Florida better too.

Don't you think ESPN would air this if there was an audience for it worth broadcasting??

FoxSports aired the UCLA/TCU game last night.
MLB network regularly airs the Minute Maid tourney.

must be some sort of Audience for them to air it.

I love how so many of you people think Todd Chicken Fingers single handedly funds all of LSU athletics.

Gonna let you in on a secret. ESPN doesn't make money broadcasting regular season college baseball either.

I dunno…I think it might be more that they don’t want to cannibalize other broadcast's ratings like WBB and such.

Who would pay for this bs? The quality is terrible, people having trouble streaming, the guy keeping up with the tv scoreboard must be a five year old, and just an overall bad product.

Didn’t all this happen last year and Kendall promised it wouldn’t be this bad ever again?

I don't get it. Happens every year and its not just this tournament. There are several tournaments this weekend and none of them are available on ESPN+. What is it about this one weekend? Sucks.

They can't be selling that many subscriptions to a one week tournament.

ESPN has contracts to broadcast the home games of various conferences, not to produce and broadcast neutral site tournaments that may or may not have teams from those conferences.

It was pretty bad. The Yankess played a spring training game there in the early 80's. I believe it was ~310 down each line and over 420 to center.

Why doesn’t LSU just do a non conference series with Southern Miss.

Southern Miss is a high RPI team while still being a mid major.

They can do a traditional 3 on campus games

Or do the 1,1,1 format -
aka North Carolina vs East Carolina and Clemson vs South Carolina

Friday night at LSU
Saturday night @ Southern Miss
Sunday 1:00 pm at Keesler Federal Park

Back in the day, Jumbo Sports was carrying several games a year on Cox Sports. Ronnie Rantz and Lynn Rollins did the call. BTW, Jumbo was Ronnie's production company and his nickname.
