Need to start paying attention to this team. They are drastically different than any other McMahon team.

Reece has gotten leaps and bounds better from his first two games. Hes looking like a more than serviceable backup for Thomas

I feel like McMahon may have decided to try to figure out what type of team he wanted and then use the portal to build the team he wanted instead of trying to build around the players he could get. If that makes sense at all.

I think he was getting "best"/"highest rated" prior. He specifically said he wanted to build this team (I say this a lot so far, but paraphrase his words):

When MacKinnon is making shots this team seems unstoppable. King and Sutton are so athletic and crafty veterans that just play the right way. DJ Thomas is honestly just so damn good, it is amazing the difference of a PG
Reece is really good too, so happy we chose him and let Givens walk. Miller is an athletic freak but needs minutes. He is very raw, he does things that make your jaw drop then he has turnovers or fouls that look like he hasn’t played basketball…but that’s why I say he has to keep playing lots of minutes because if he turns it on like he did last year, this team all the sudden can make actual noise.
McMahon is gonna have to figure out the rotation because Tamba Sutton Nwoko Miller are more athletic than Reed still coming back from surgery. We don’t need a rotation of 5 bigs, and King is showing why he was a top 100 transfer. Mackinnon and King and Thomas on the floor together is really really good
