I think team average goes up as do homerun totals for the team, not necessarily for one player. also we are much stronger in the bullpen this year the only thing we lost was our two best starters iirc , which is a lot but we gained a lot and developed some guys to make up for it

Someone pointed out Jay hasn't won 20 games in our SEC.That sure surprised me although winning 2 National Championships in 4 seasons.
Our Tigers go 20 - 1 this season and sweep Texass at the Box for some payback!

I like speculation but how are you gunna pick who wins a series when not a single team has played. A lot of shite changes in baseball week to week much less 2 months down the road

Texas won 22 games last year on the weakest schedule in the SEC, you may never see that again
You're going to see it this year. They play three teams predicted to finish in the top half of the league.
They get the consensus 5 worst teams in the league as well.
As for the OP, I need to see this team in non-conference play before making any predictions. The two things that concern me about this team are starting pitching and infield defense.

This team will win on offense. Offense takes a while to heat up. I believe we will be about 9-6 midway, then 10-5 to finish. So 19-11 on the cusp of a national seed seems reasonable.

20-10 sounds about right.

19-11 is a top 8 seed? I don’t think that’s accurate
In the SEC it is way more than it isn’t

Hmmmmm…..
1. LSU plays 30 SEC regular season games.
2. LSU doesn’t play Texas this year, much less, at the Box.

35-0. Win In Hoover and they give us a few extra games and win those also.
