He took over a team that hadn't even made the NCAA tournament the 3 seasons prior, and in year 1 brought them to the CWS finals with a roster of bandaid JUCO players. Those players then left and he had to go into rebuild mode.

He is obviously a great recruiter and heck of a hitting coach. Im assuming his arizona teams that struggled prior to this season, did so because they had no arms or a bad pitching coach prior to yeskie

wonder if they’re gauging Johnson fan reaction as we speak

I hope Woody doesn't give a damn to be honest. 70%, and I feel like I'm being kind, of fans at the box know jack shite about baseball. I know if the people that sit behind me had a say, Bianco would've been introduced last week and they'd say shite like "now we can get back to gorilla ball and the way skip played"

I know Sheetinger was never going to be a candidate, my response was all about there being a ton of very talented baseball coaches that would kill it at LSU that nobody has ever heard of. Sheetinger is unique in that for the last few years he has done more than any single other person to grow the amateur game and develop coaches. The biggest names in college baseball have him on speed dial and seek out his advice and his network of high school coaches is infinite. I’m talking about guys that love him because of how much he’s helped them grow in the profession. At a big school he would get 100% of the players he wanted because every high school coach in America wants there guys playing for him. He has serious d1 talent at an NAIA school because of it and they massacre people at that level

He took over a somewhat storied program that was in bad shape and rebuilt it from the ground up. This year shows what he has built.

like O not interviewing coordinators but u defended him to the death. You hate Woodward and will shite on any coach hired. Like you do wade. You don’t give Woodward any credit for hiring mulkey saying it wasn’t a big time hire. We all know how much you suck

Don't waste your time. He obviously has suffered some form of brain damage from the years of lack of oxygen from having his head too far up O's arse.

Johnson could’ve gone undefeated every year and he’d shite on him.

Think of it this way.lsu will recruit itself in the south,so why would you need a, "recruiting in the south",expert.
Hes a, "recruiting in the west" ,expert. Add that to the southern recruiting that we will have no matter what and you're getting some damn good recruiting throughout the whole country.
Could be a bit wild thought but just a thought I had.

Not to mention, his teams hit the ever living shite out of the ball.we need a great pitching coach, even if we have to force him into taking a pitching coach of Woodwards choice.

Does this make sense or is it a little out there?

Only to morons like you that for some reason hate Scott Woodward

Because Woodward didn't hire Orgeron. That's all it boils down to. He knows Woody wouldn't have hired him if he was the AD at the time, and he knows Woody won't hesitate to get rid of him if he keeps making mistakes like last season.

A good recruiter is a good recruiter, doesn't matter where in the country you are at.

and he isnt a typical small ball west coast coach...he isnt my first choice but i would be happy with the hire and think he will do really well here

Kevin O Sullivan emerges as frontrunner...nope
Pat Casey emerges as frontrunner...nope
Mike Bianco emerges as frontrunner...nope
Tony Vitello emerges as frontrunner...nope

I think all of this is bs. No one knows but Woody.

That was Kris Bryant's class. Tony Wolters was also in that class but signed out of high school.
Who was the first round pitcher he landed, or was that after he left?

Also, he definitely does signing day press conferences in November
