I hope not. I really like FJ and think she’s a fantastic fit at LSU.

It’s about getting more money I’m sure.

Shea/Brune are guessing ...like the rest of us!

Yep. All part of negotiations and leverage.
The equilibrium of being a fan of the player and the school is imbalanced. It is very hard to do both in this era (error).

Google says her net worth went from 1.5 to over 7 million last year.. nil.. music .. commercial.. etc
If I was advising young athletes I would suggest be careful about getting greedy with the minor nil from universities if you are actually being successful at building a brand for business after college..
Make the fans feel like they were just part of the money grab and you will lose them fast. They will turn .. and future fans will recognize it is all about money only..

College athletics need professional like contracts that include traditional scholarship funds + NIL funds. This is the only way to protect the schools.
You can still include transfer language in the contract.

She is the OG who committed to and turned this program around. I would hate to see her leave for one season. That's crazy. She seems to love LSU. I really hope she stays at LSU. Especially with the class coming in.

How does this happen if she isn’t in the portal?
Posted on 4/4/25 at 9:39 am to saturncube21
This is basically what most college athletes are doing these days. Gauging the market to see if they can earn more while there’s no rules or regulations in place to restrict their earnings.

Money would be better spent on Men’s Basketball, Football or Baseball.
How much of the NIL collective is actually being spent on WBB?

I highly doubt there is any seriousness to this. Maybe people are offering but no way is she realistically listening.

Take that money and put it in football or mens bball
The collective isn’t paying out huge amounts to non-revenue sports. Most of that is traditional NIL through sponsorships, media, branding, or specific donors.

I’d rather money go to one of the three major sports that I enjoy
It's all about You I see. Many of us would rather watch a ell respected, winning coach than, well....

Agree, it’s like watching a JV high school game athleticism and skill-wise.

If someone is going to offer her Hundreds of thousands or a million, why wouldn’t she listen? She doesn’t have to accept but to say she isn’t realistically listening would surprise me.
Personally I believe every athlete should declare for the portal and see their worth. That’s what I’d do. Do I like it as a fan? Hell no. But if I’m an athlete in today’s college landscape, damn right I’d see what my value is.

Rumor was that her mom was shopping her around for NIL deals.

Exactly, other schools, other boosters cannot contact Flaujae if she is not in the transfer portal. She is still under scholarship at LSU. She will have to enter the transfer portal by April 22 deadline. But you never know, other schools, other boosters do shady things all the time and try get away with it. Flaujae and her mom are good people, love LSU, and don't believe they would do anything to taint Flaujae.

No chance. She loves Mulkey.
