You obviously missed the entire point that Sully is FAR from washed. His record SINCE Jay has been here speaks for itself. That UF team and LSU were definitely evenly matched. It showed during the season all the way to the finals. UF ran out of pitching in Game 3 but Game 3 doesn’t happen unless Josh (and Tre to your point) don’t make incredible plays that aren’t made about 95% or more of the time. He turned around with a team that sucked all season in 24 and took them to the semi-finals in Omaha.
We can all acknowledge that he is an a-hole. But don’t try to say he isn’t still a great coach and when Woodward tried to hire him, he wouldn’t have been successful with the resources LSU offers considering what he has done at UF.

NOTHING I said had anything to do with his character. My point was simple and straightforward - he is a hell of a coach and not “washed”. His recent record proves that since Jay has been here. You can say all you want about what happened and didn’t happen when Fat Scott tried to hire him. I HATED Woodward FWIW after the Wade situation.
Look at my post history about Jay. It’s filled with nothing but praise.
Please reply with facts that state he isn’t an elite baseball coach today.

I played ball. I umped ball including a game Ben tossed at DSHS. I know ball coaches. He is a great coach. He is a consistent coach. He is also an a-hole and jerk and uber competitive.
That doesn’t make him “Washed” which is my point.

The problem with these dumbasses is they can’t separate Jay from him. They think that saying he is a great coach diminishes Jay as a coach. He’ll, Jay will tell you himself that Sully is a great coach.

While I don’t disagree with this, there are plenty of garbage human beings who are also great coaches. The two things aren’t mutually exclusive
Sully is both a garbage human and a great coach. Glad we didn’t hire him and think we got the better of the two but Sullybis still one of the best in the sport. His resume speaks for itself. There are only two active coaches with multiple national titles so holding that against Sully and arguing that’s why he isn’t great is a little silly
Right now there’s Jay, Sully, Corbin and, even without natties, Schloss and DVH. Those are the best and most consistently elite coaches in the sport right now.
