Agree. Future radar shows about 2 to 6 or 7 as the weather window.
But if Tech didn't leave Ruston until about now as originally planned, the game will not be able to start until at least 5 or so.
ETA - just read back in this thread and saw that Tech is already in BR. They should be able to get started early if they decide to.

Depends on if the Umps can get in early I would imagine. Like stated before Tech stayed overnight in Baton Rouge last night.

They had tech coach on the sports radio show in Shreveport this morning. He said they are gonna pitch their ace . He said it's because he didnt pitch against fiu this past weekend because they got rained out in the double header. Not sure if they played a game before that or not,if so Idk why he didnt pitch his ace in that game. Maybe he has two ace type guys.
Anyway,he also said they will pitch a bullpen game after his ace goes 3 innings,so I wouldnt get too discouraged if we start slow.we are starting hellmers per paul.
The coach at tech said he was sitting in his hotel room watching it rain as of 8 am.
Paul said he'd be down to play the game Wednesday but not sure that tech could afford to stay in baton rouge for a 3rd night .
Paul also said that the tarps been on the field since sunday.
That's all I've got from listening to Paul's interview Monday and coach Burroughs on the radio this morning.
I really cant see any reason why they couldn't play earlier when the tech players are just sitting in the hotel room all day ,up until the game, considering weve done this before like 2 weeks or a week ago.

Rain in BR is done for the day. If LaTech stayed overnight last night. They should be able to play tonight

Yup I'm waiting for the crap that hit south of BR to move through NO before heading out that way.

I'm on my weather channel app now.ill give yall the hour by hour predictions.
Ill go from 2pm to 7pm which is the latest hourly prediction they have
2pm-20% chance of rain
3pm-25% chance of rain
4pm-40% chance of thunderstorms
5pm-40% chance of thunderstorms
6PM-15% chance of rain
7pm-45% chance of thunderstorms
Then they say
Today-scattered thunderstorms developing in the afternoon. Gusty winds and small hail possible. Chance of rain 50%
Tonight-thunderstorms,chance of rain/thunderstorms 80%
In other words ,this shits just getting started again at about 4pm and will be off and on,mostly on,till at minimum later tonight than a game could start.
They should just try to start asap and go for that.im sure it's a little too much to start soon on little notice.
Also,tomorrows forecast is much worse. 70% chance of thunderstorms instead of the 50 % they have predicted for today.
I wouldnt make a long trip to watch it.
