Yeah they have no choice. This has to be the lowest point in the programs history

Just suck it up and move on

I’ll say it again since there’s an actual blueprint - Bama MBB.

Find the right coach and it can pay for itself. Bama is not a basketball school, they had less historic success than LSU. They were profiting where LSU is now, $1-2 million a year. They found the right coach and profited a verifiable $9.5 million last season, up from $5.5 million the season prior. Even the $5-6 million range, $3-$5 million increase would benefit the AD long term, lasting past any buyout. We know we don’t have the right coach, we knew it last season and just delayed the inevitable.

Well, send in a check for $1000.

Or, since you say "regardless of the cost", send in 10,000 and put your money where your mouth is

Believe it or not it could actually descend lower. LSU plays a game in Oxford on Wednesday night Feb.25. This could prove to be Custer's last stand.

The Rebels have lost nine straight games (LSU has actually won two games since Ole Miss won its last, a 67-66 triumph over "Moo State" in Starkville)! By all metrics, LSU is the better basketball team-- points scored, points allowed, 3-point FG %, rebounds, blocks, steals, assists, overall record (LSU is 14-13 and Ole Miss is 11-16). In short, I can't envision a loss.

They're also baseball bros scared to death of a basketball program that's humming.

Their worst nightmare would be having Will Wade still at LSU in year 9. Could you imagine how great we'd be if our administration had any balls 4 years ago?

The same amount you put towards the BK buyout.

Shut the FLUCK up.

It’s not about the buyout. It’s about the next coach and the donors not wanting to pay a ton for Wade. Gov wants Wade. Donors do not feel it’s worth it. Look for Schertz to be a name we could get if they end up firing him.

Fine by me. In fact, I will take any other Division I coach actually. McMahon is the WORST coach in Division I so anyone else is literally an upgrade.

Not a joke, sir. It may be hyperbole, of course a loss can be visualized-- LSU lost home games to South Carolina and Miss St, both in ugly fashion, and they're the two worst SEC teams according to NET and Kenpom. But I just don't think it will happen after all the team and the coach have been through this season. There's still pride and resiliency in the LSU uniform.

Cost is not the problem, it aint shite. The bigger issue is having a sizable NIL pool to attract a worthy candidate to this football school. Couple yrs ago Calopari was boasting at having a $7 mil NIL commitment at Arky. UK spent $22mil on current roster. Big question now is how much is enough

Never heard of him. The only "schertz" I'm aware of are the dirty night schertz I've been wearing to bed continually since the first cold front came through early January

I sincerely hope McMahon loses the rest of his LSU games by 30 or more. It’s just folly to me at this point.

Your best player essentially quit and the team has no pulse. No they have ZERO pride in the uniform and that’s a direct reflection of the coach

It's this kind of statement (and attitude) I can't reconcile. It seems as if you have a personal animus toward the coach and the program as it's currently constructed

Actually I have a personal issue with Matt M.

1. He is robbing us blind
2. His piss poor performance has taken all joy out of our basketball program
