I was at the Georgetown game in the dome and remember watching the Loyola Marymount game television on Super Bowl Sunday. Two greats ones.

That game was phenomenal.

On January 29, 2000, unranked LSU defeated No. 5 Arizona 86-60
Key Performers:
LSU: Stromile Swift (29 points, 9 rebounds, 4 blocks), Jabari Smith (15 points, 6 rebounds), Lamont Roland (11 points).
If I remember correctly, Jabari Smith had a pretty iconic dunk down the stretch of that game where he faked a behind the back pass and dunked. I remember the crowd going nuts.

Only time I’ve seen the PMAC completely packed. Amazing atmosphere
The game in 2016 when LSU hosted No.1 Oklahoma was a great atmosphere. Unfortunately, LSU lost.
The wild thing is go back and look at some of the schedules Brown use to play. Everyone would think he was insane for doing so today. Just look at this one week stretch in 1990
1/27/90 Florida
1/28/90 UNLV
1/31/90 @ Ole Miss
2/3/90 Loyola Marymount
LSU won all 4. Now, we act like it is a massive task for teams to play 2 games in a week.

I was there in the student section and it was one of my favorite times at any lsu sporting event. PMAC was nuts

Dale Brown puts LSU hoops on the map by upsetting #1 Kentucky in double OT after all our starters fouled out.
The nucleus of this team got LSU to Phillie for the Final Four in 1981.
15,000 plus fans, SRO on a cold Wednesday night in February.

I was in the Superdome for the Georgetown game. It was the very first date with my wife of now 34 years. She asked me out, and when she said lets go to an LSU game I knew she was a keeper

I have the Loyola Marymount game on videotape. I went to the Georgetown game.

I was there. Attended LSU basketball camps back in the day and seem to remember tickets to that game being a part of the deal.
Great atmosphere. I miss when LSU basketball was good!
Lots of great games in the PMAC come to mind though during Shaq and CJ years. Shame they didn't win it all.

How about a nomination for LSU’s win in the 2006 NCAA Tournament against #1 Duke and J.J. Reddick?

I was there '78-81.
It was like that for EVERY game. 1981 season, students had to spend the night on the ramps to get a seat, which, if you had enough beer, wasn't that bad.
Leonard Mitchell's first half dunk over Sam Bowie's head destroyed UK's desire to live the night we played them in the PMAC in '81.

I went to both. Thanks for reminding me that LSU basketball used to be relevant and fun. Dale could fill up the dome.

86 in Atlanta ... beating UK with Sky Walker after losing to them all season. Punched the ticket in style.

2006 Sweet 16: LSU 62, Duke 54. The Tigers, led by Glen "Big Baby" Davis and Tyrus Thomas, defeated a top-seeded Duke team featuring JJ Redick and Shelden Williams
This could also be included. A lot of people expected duke to win. Was a great defensive performance by LSU.

31 points in the 2nd half. Find a larger deficit
The biggest comeback in NCAA Division I men's basketball history occurred on February 22, 2018, when Drexel University overcame a 34-point deficit to defeat Delaware 85-83. Trailing 53-19 with 2:30 left in the first half, Drexel staged a historic second-half rally to surpass the previous record of 32 points

LSU beat #1 Kentucky 1978
has to be one of, if not the, best games in LSU history.
When all 5 starters fouled out and Andy Campbell had to come in in OT- it seemed like we would come up short.
Scales, Macklin and Martin- those were the days-
That was the watershed moment for the Dale Brown era. Before that - Dale's first 5 years were pretty mediocre and most flat out bad. This game showed we could compete and we did compete fiercely with Kentucky for the next 15 years.

The most iconic game in LSU basketball history was a loss.
That's fine, we got back at them in football, with the Blue Grass Miracle.
Way more iconic in sports memory, IMHO

Ricky Blanton is one guy who never gets enough love when people talk about all-time great LSU basketball players.
