Even Johnny Jones worst teams would have a 20 pt lead against this team by half.

Trent Johnson’s would be up by at least 10.

Go back and find some YouTubes from JJ's 2016-17 season. That team was brutal, and regularly lost by 20+ margins against even bad teams.

Yeah that team was really bad, but at least it had some talent. We had 4 future NBA players on that team. MM hasn’t had 1 in his entire 4 years here.

But even those events have pride and standards for admittance.

no they don't. Teams pay to play in them and they have basically no standards to get in

here is last year's teams in the CBI
Army16–15
Cleveland State 21–12
Elon 17–15
Florida Gulf Coast 18–14
Illinois State 19–14
Incarnate Word 17–16
Jacksonville 19–13
Manhattan 17–13
Northern Arizona 18–15
Presbyterian 14–18
Queens 19–14

And here is the bracket for the CIT in 2024 (it folded)

Abilene Christian 15–17
Alabama A&M 11–22
Austin Peay 19–15
Bowling Green 20–13
Norfolk State 22–11
Purdue Fort Wayne 21–12
Tarleton State 23–9
Texas A&M–Corpus Christi 21–11
Texas Southern 16–16

man y'all are dumb as hell if y'all think men's basketball is being considered for the tourney. They're 2-10 in conference and 14-11 overall in a conference that's down, especially relative to last year. They don't even have a decent win in conference.

I don't give a damn what was or wasn't said on SVP, if he was talking about the men possibly making the tourney, he was wrong - by a lot.

Lsu is on the list of which men's basketball programs have the worst coaches in NCAA Division 1. Oh and by the way MM is at the top of the list!

One website lists McMahon as one of 5 coaches nationally in need of a late-season run to save his job. The other four are Adrian Autry, Syracuse; Bobby Hurley, Arizona State; Kim English, Providence; and Porter Moser, Oklahoma. The coaches are listed alphabetically.

Quoting from the article on McMahon: McMahon undoubtedly took the LSU job under difficult circumstances after succeeding Will Wade, a coach with strong results who was fired for NCAA recruiting violations while at LSU. A strong track record at Murray State, who McMahon took to three NCAA Tournaments while coaching Ja Morant as a collegian and earned two March Madness wins, should have portended success but the jump to the SEC appeared to be a bit steep for him.

The Tigers haven't won more than 17 games in a season under McMahon yet and have just one postseason appearance, a 2023 NIT trip, under his leadership and were one of only two SEC teams to miss the NCAA Tournament last year when the conference set a record with 14 bids. Leadership at LSU isn't afraid to pay hefty buyouts after burning over $50 million to fire football coach Brian Kelly in the fall so McMahon could get the axe if he can't get the Tigers into the bubble conversation by the end of the year.
