Eh. I would disagree. You don't want to be losing games to Miss St or Ole Miss when you have other team's like Bama and UGA you have to play. My point is simply that there's much less margin for error in football.

I'm talking about any non-conf game. Either it's "every" game or it's not. I would argue any SEC school could lose every OOC game but sweep the SEC and win the SECCG and make the playoff.

The regular season in football means so much more to your postseason destination than baseball and basketball. That's why every game matters more in football.

exactly...however, it's still stupid and ignorant to have such a black and white perspective on anything like the rant has with everything

Are you saying you think an SEC team would get into the playoff with a 9-4 record, or am I misreading something? I haven’t followed the whole thread.

I think it could lose multiple OOC games and still get in the playoff, yes.

Agreed, Since 2009, Florida has been 42/22, 47/17, 41/15, 40/16, 29/30, 40/23, 52/18, and 52/16. They had a rough year in 2013 so a down year every now and then does not mean the program is going bad

I thought it was pretty clear at the end of last season that this would be a rebuilding year much like 2011

We are close to halfway through the season and are not terribly far above .500....and we still have Arkansas, OM and Florida yet to come along with the rest of our SEC schedule.

LSU doesn't play Florida

Get used to it until PM is gone. Bash me all you want but he never coaches up lesser talent to win big games.

wtf? PM has won a lot of big games. sounds like you think he should win all of our big games. sorry, no one does that. also, I hope you aren't calling playing ULL in a mid week charity game a big game.

there is always a reason why a team loses. call it an excuse or whatever, but every game of baseball is different and there are reasons why one team wins and one loses.

That's what I always liked about Cannizaro. He was always fired up.

He’s a scumbag. The rant was at its stupidest when they thought Cannizaro had any appreciable influence on this team. And the year AFTER he left we went to the finals.

I wouldn’t say mediocre. Take a look at what they had to replace from last year. All the weekend starters cause walker is hurt. A starting SS, 2B, C, outfielders. This team is young but you are right. It’s still early and this team will have success as the season moves along.
