Nobody's mentioning that Les got the KU job *3 years* after he left LSU. It's not like he was immediately in demand.

BK doesn’t want a job. He was trying to coach less and play golf and manage his real estate while he was at LSU the last couple years

Kelly isn't coaching for two reasons:
1. Brian Kelly doesn't want to coach anymore.
2. Nobody wants to hire him.
Whatever his reputation prior to coming to LSU, it's not that anymore. He checked out and was completely disengaged and that is very clear to anyone paying attention. No school is going to shell out eight figures for that, and Kelly's ego wouldn't let him take less than that.
He's not going to coach again.

Clm was entertaining BK has no personality..what you got?
I got its time to stop the constant shitting on Kelly. Lets move on and enjoy the recruiting haul and hopefully the results in the fall. What the frick do you get out of constantly starting these threads? fricking simple minded people.

I wonder if anyone on this board would seek a job, if they had enough of LSU's money to last ten lifetimes.
Woody took care of his friends.
I wonder if any other business would hire Woody.

What does it say if BK cannot get a job but CLM did?
Les Miles was fired 4 games into the 2016 season and was hired by Kansas at the end of the 2018 season. He was out of coaching for 2 years. Kelly's been out of coaching for 3 months.

BK said this was his last stop. Why do so many of you doubt the man? He has many, many faults, but being open and transparent was not one of them.

Two things.
1. It took Les a few years
2. Les is a better coach so it shouldn’t be suprising

I don’t think Les had a job the very next season either after being fired. Fired from LSU 2016 hired by Kansas 2018 in November.

That Les actually wanted to work/coach and make some money again.

He wants to collect some money for a stretch.

BK packed it in; he doesn’t have to work with his golden LSU “retirement package”.

Les didn’t come off as a prick, but he was still out of coaching for 2 years before Kansas hired him

I’d imagine you’ll hear BK’s name come up for a few jobs by the end of the 2026 season. That will cover his end of the buyout by saying he’s looking for employment. However, there’s a better chance of me winning the lottery than BK ever coaching again. The man has totally checked out and wants nothing to do with the new era of college sports. His difficult personality and lazy work ethic will be a turn off to just about anyone looking for a coach. Belichek is difficult, but he still puts in the work as a coach on the field.

Y'all didn't do this with Coach O

BK said while at LSU this was his last job and his retirement. He had no plans to go anywhere else. He of course tried to sugar coat it by saying he was at the top and expects to win championships. That told you right there he didn't care.
He has no intention of getting another job and was very lazy hands-off at his time at LSU. Nobody is seriously interested in him and neither is he interested in anyone else. His intention was to continue bending LSU over day 1. I think he's in for a rude awakening in the future LSU will go after him and they should.

Difference is BK won't just take any job.
