Cool, but you bet the house on this specific recruit not being a kid that went to high school in Louisiana.
Also, to your overall point, the state doesn’t produce enough talent to just load up on Louisiana guys and expect to win the way we have.

The days of recruitIng for future years are gone. Next year is the only thing that matters with the portal. Let's recruit a guy that will start as a junior, only to see him portal to another team as a freshman or sophomore because he's not starting.

I can distinctly remember a while back watching a couple LSU games, football mind you, but reading the TV roster and seeing every single kid on defense from Louisiana and being so proud and happy with that!
Now Those were the curly Hallman years, but I do remember being distinctly happy about all those Louisiana kids on TV.
