Tyrann Mathieu was what the edge of your seat was made for.

Like comparing NY pizza to Chicago pizza or Texas BBQ to Kansas City BBQ.
Totally different kinds of ‘electric’ but both were awesome.

Oh god, is 2010-2011 now "back in the day"?
I need a drink

With all due respect to JD, Badger was primetime tv.
Jayden Daniels won the Heisman in spite of playing with arguably the worst defensive team in LSU history.

but who takes the title of Most Electric?
Jayden Daniels was a spectacular QB, but you could somewhat anticipate what he might do.
Whereas with Honey Badger, there were plays where he was closing in to make a tackle ... and without breaking stride he would strip the ball and go in for a score.
It was more "shocking", thus more "electric" (pun intended).

That’s honestly a tough question. I’ll go Daniels.

Good gosh that’s brutal to think about. My gut says Honeybadger, it’s just rare to have a defensive player have that type of an impact in games. Throw in returns and his size, no other comparables

Tyrann Mathieu, it ain’t close. He was basically our Deion Sanders and could change an entire game with a single defensive play.

Daniels touched the ball every offensive play. There is no way to make a comparison.
Both willed us to wins at times.
Mathieu was the most exciting and impactful defensive player ever at LSU.
Without Daniel who knows how bad 2022 and 23 would have been.

Honey Badger vs Georgia in the 2011 SEC Championship Game. How would history change if he'd scored on that second punt return.

The sheer amount of times TM7 stripped a ball , only to have it land in his hands will never be repeated.
His punt returns were unmatched.
He flattened people if the ball was near him.
Daniels was fun to watch but TM7 is the best at his position to ever do it at the college level.

To even ask that question is stupid!! HB and it wasnt even close

I don’t know why TM7 isn’t regarded as the best college DB of all time. He did things I’ve never saw nor have I ever heard of anyone doing. He was must watch tv and a straight menace.

I go back a very long time and I’ve always contended that Mathieu is the greatest defensive player I’ve ever seen in college. Barry Sanders was the greatest player (any position) IMO.
His ability to change games was remarkable. He would have easily broken the SEC record for most forced TO had he been able to play another season. I’m pretty sure he was only a couple away. By far the most of anyone in a few games he played or minutes for that matter.
If you don’t think so, go watch the Georgia game from the SEC championship and get back with me. His punt return ability completely changed the game when LSU most needed it because I did they were already down 14 if I remember correctly.
His entire career at LSU was a highlight reel. As much and great as Daniels was his first year was unremarkable. He damn near got benched his Heisman season.
Because of his ability to completely take over a football game at a defensive position, my vote goes to Matthieu

Tyrann Mathieu. I have never watched a CB completely take games over the way the Honey Badger did and I’ve never seen one do it since.
Did you watch the NC game against bama; Tyrann was a non factor that game. He was an exciting player though but every single time Daniel’s had the ball which was way more often obviously we all knew he could go all the way no one was catching that human antelope/cheetah!
