He won't.

I think you're the one who is latching onto any hope at this point.

Maybe the next coach isn’t WW, but I would agree to stop talking about tPear altogether if we would simply move on from McMahon. Deal?

This is the way. People act like Wade is the only coach who could possibly succeed here. He's not, and he's not coming back.

5. Men’s Basketball

What do 1 - 4 have in common?

I'm telling you, some people are so delusional they truly need mental professional help, a girlfriend, and a job.

I never entertained the idea he was returning. I mean, I dreamed about it, but never once thought there was a chance.

It should, but it won’t. The delusion amongst the Wade gang is never going away. They legit believe he’s the best coach in America when in reality, he probably isn’t even top 25.

On that day when the infractions were announced...the NCAA still had some teeth left. They could give us one last bite and the bite would have been in football.

That’s just a lie. What did they do to Duke, Kansas, or Arizona?? Absolutely nothing. They haven’t had teeth in a coon’s age. There was no falling on the sword to protect the football program, as they had their own issues. But sure…. Make your own reality. It’s par for the course of a society that can’t take accountability.

Wade will be making a deep tourney run this year because that’s what he does. He’s a winner.

McMahon will be moping around on the sideline in depressing, irrelevant games to end the season and his career because that’s what HE does. He’s a loser.

When you get a winner, you get behind them and do everything you can to keep them. Fat Scott failed LSU when he didn’t do that with Wade.

I thought the allegation was wade used his joint checking account to funnel payments to a recruits mom and another family friend.

I don’t think he comes back but I believe he will get the first call to see if he’s interested.

I’d argue it is no better than 4 on the priority list right now

1. Football
2. Baseball
3. Women’s Basketball

Maybe Men’s Basketball is next but even that is debatable.

Spending-wise, their ain't much difference. LSU spends more on men"s basketball still. I mean look, McMahon is making 2.8 million per year with awful results. Jay Johnson just won his 2nd national championship in 4 years and his salary was increased to 3 million per year. LSU still spends more money on basketball coach salaries than baseball. And their operating expenses are still a million dollars more than baseball. They just happen to make money off of men's basketball because of all the big TV/March Madness contracts.

If LSU could get a good basketball coach, they could get great support like in the past and make millions more. We have just been making mostly bad basketball hires for a lot of years now. McMahon did seem pretty decent on paper considering our situation when we hired him. Auburn and Bama have proven how fast you can go from a dead basketball program/atmosphere to one of the best out there though. Here is to hoping. LSU once had one of the best atmospheres in all of college basketball (was a loooong ime ago).
