Na frick that. Televised football games are almost 1 hour longer than they were 30 yrs ago. Global Warming aside. Sitting in 90 degrees for 3.5 hrs this saturday don't make you a good fan.

It suddenly that cloud thingy flew over high in the sky and blocked the direct sun for even the 2nd half, the fans would not be complaining. I guarantee you that.

Thought it might be something for LSU to consider. Or is this sacrilege?

The people that want to leave early are gonna leave. It's gotten where a lot of "fans" show up to tailgate and socialize but don't really care about attending the game itself. I've seen people leave during the 4th quarter of a tight game against a ranked opponent because they got cold or some such BS.

The bottom line is that the college football fans of today just aren't the same as those from 10 or 20 years ago. Quite frankly, they're spoiled.

The additions to Tiger Stadium should’ve stopped a long time ago, another addition will just make it worse.

There are too many seats. Reduce the number of seats, make the seats more comfortable, shade the seats, AC the seats and charge more for them. Improve the concessions, by having service folks deliver drinks and food to the fans and work on the traffic. Tiger stadium will be more fun, louder and more intense with 75-80,00 fans who stay until the end.

not sure I have you ever downvoted anything at all on Tiger droppings. I think it was able to post two of them on this one.

Arguably, given the state of the program and it's success would just make the ticket a harder buy and lend itself to more corporate tickets...people who aren't vested and leave early. Lots of people feel priced out as is.

Wish we had that thing at the Vandy game. I was praying for a single cloud to come by.

Wasn't even that hot that day, just relentless sun.

I say yes. Weather wise, Louisiana is nasty. Hell, most of the Gulf states are; that's just reality. I say build a dome for LSU Football. I'd fly in every game if they did.

Locking the gates behind them would work better.

Attaching shackles to the seats that cuff everyone would make them stay. Give them enough chain room to stand up and move around and cheer though. Each seat will be a built in toilet with some dividers for temporary privacy. Servers will come and take everyone's food and drink orders movie tavern style.

Cuffs don't unlock until the game is over. Only medical staff have an override mechanism in case of medical emergencies.

Adding seats that go empty at half or never get occupied, just to claim the mythical title of biggest capacity is not a great strategy.

Oh I know... let’s spend boatloads more money and still not fix the underlying problems. That’s the Louisiana way.
