This. You either believe at this point or you want it to go to zero and will never get in.

As fiat decays exponentially bitcoin will start growing exponentially. Bitcoins rate of growth will accelerate dramatically.

I bought a little about a month ago. Was my first purchase, and don't plan to buy more. Not a believer. Just playing around with a falling knife play. It has has been up $10k and down $10k during that time. Not something I would ever put serious money into.

Has anyone announced the rollout date yet? I just tried to see what I could buy with some old bitcoin, and the only thing I could find was a bazooka, under age Guatemalans, and a bunch of stuff in the OT peptides thread.

Im not some BTC maximalist or anything, but to act like BTC is still some obscure MtGox token still is asinine.

Americans own 40%+ of Bitcoin, and most of that is institutions.

The world is not buying.

If Ol' Saylor dude ever decides to cash out it falls like a pallet of bricks

It's pure speculation, not a safe haven.

Nobody disagrees with that.

For at least three years, I’ve argued the believers completely transitioned from their use case arguments about adoption.

Hell, when’s the last time someone dismissively told you to “read the white paper?”

You’re not really wrong about bitcoin culture. It’s gotten worse. If anyone ever wants a dig that lands, that’s the one. But the issue has never been bitcoin itself. Bitcoin is a marvel.

Americans hold just under 35% of the world's wealth, which is in line with the 40% they hold of BTC. Non-Americans holding 60% of BTC means the world is buying BTC, about in line with the wealth it holds.

The fact that btc struggles at the exact moment when it should thrive should send caution flags

It should always out perform gold and silver

It doesn’t

That concerns me as a holder

Yep. It sucks having a thesis about hard money and the death of fiat and then seeing the thesis play out correctly but BTC does not participate.

I'm down about a million bucks. I think Bitcoin will come back but it may just be another 4 year cycle. I was 100% convinced the 4 year cycle was over.

That said, I've been around many years and whenever the bulls (like myself) get nervous that it might be over, that is normally the time to buy.

I don't know why this is shocking after what happened in 2020.

BTC has become nothing more than a commodity traded as such that follows general trends in the market, and it's been that way for a long time.

It will, it simply lags it!

I add about 5% a paycheck; I have patience.
