This is underwhelming and disappointing

What was underwhelming was more than half our hitting lineup taking a year off and our starting pitchers spending the year on the IL. That’s not on the coach, that’s on professional ball players not preparing themselves.

The upside was getting to see Fried be his normal October self that we no longer have to pay for!

Braves are not serious about winning. They’re making bank on the stadium and Battery, who needs to actually win games?

Fried did better than the Braves in October

Hopefully AA and Weiss are fired soon. Good grief. Waited the entire postseason to hire this?

Hot stove used to be one of my favorite times of year. But I have absolutely no reason to look forward to it this year. Awful hire only to precede what we all know will be dumpster diving to fill out the roster. That window slammed shut so hard the glass has shattered.

What the frick I don't get is why the frick it took so fricking long to name him as manager. He was fricking available to be hired weeks a-fricking-go.

AA needs to go. While I hated to lose Freeman, he made the move to get Olson. But he let Swanson and Fried walk with no replacements. Weiss is such a disappointing hire. We waited through the WS for that? They can enjoy watching future World Series from home because they won't be playing there.

They must have gotten turned down by the Dodgers guy they were looking at, or found out something about him that spooked them.

I hope it is the latter because there is absolutely no excuse to wait this long to make this type of uninspiring hire.

You have to remember, the Owners fully expect a lock out or strike for at least part of 2027, so why pay some one to manage, who costs a lot, when they might not be playing at all?

expect a lot of weird hires going into next season. Or, teams, like Cardinals keeping their shite manager because their contract runs out in 26.

In a vacuum, I don't have any problem with hiring Walt Weiss. My biggest issue is I do think the Braves are starting to insulate themselves too much like the Falcons do.

Based on some of the reporting around this, I'm concerned that Terry McGuirk is playing the role of Rich McKay.

It pays dividends being Ted Turner's right hand man for decades.

Braves need to retool the lineup more so than a new manager.

A manager in today’s modern game isn’t the manager of 20 years ago.
