Astros should be encouraged by the starting
pitching and discouraged by Pressly and Maton shitting the bed in big spots. The offense also needs a boost, especially if they’re going to insist on wasting Altuve HRs in the leadoff spot and keep batting Bregman third.
The Yankees should be encouraged that they led in 2 innings all series and got a split. That’s got to give them some confidence knowing they can still win when not clicking at the plate.
All in all, both teams will or should make moves and can spin it to take away some good signs for October.

Another bat who can provide some cover/competition for Yuli at 1B is badly needed. He’s shown some signs of coming around but there’s still not a ton of power. Ride the hot one in October and the other becomes your top PH for CF or C in the late innings

Stanton is back and but still too much of a free swinger for me... Torres has returned but Gallo and IKF are useless. Hoping Torres isn't hurt and Trevino is a better hitter than Higgy

Yea Yanks have some tough decisions to make in regards to position players. Stanton does damage but he’s like 4 of his last 47. Those 4 are homers which is tight but I don’t mind facing that.

Yeah Stanton is fearsome as you know he can go deep at any moment. He isn't the 3 true outcome guy it looked like he was becoming which is a positive.
DJ, Judge, Rizzo, Torres are the hardest to get out even though all but Judge are hitting under .270
Gallo and Hicks are automatic outs, IKF has no power and doesn't work a count, Trevino could revert back.
What worried me is the Yankees are reverting back to needing a home run to win games when earlier this season they were winning without the home run.

I'm less pissed off than Thursday nights disaster but I'm at my wits end with Dustys bullshite. He just pulls shite out of his arse on gut feeling and outdated reasoning.
Like pinch hitting Castro for Maldy today. He's done that multiple times this year. They're both shitty hitters but you gain absolutely nothing sending Castro to the plate. You're better off with Maldy. Like..he's acknowledging that Maldy isn't the best option by pinch hitting for him but then you send up an all around worse hitter in Castro. He's only doing it because L/R matchups. That's advanced analytics to Johnnie B Baker.

Yep. And then when it made sense to do that when Brantley left the game, he not only put up another lefty but also didn’t go with the best lefty option.
