When I think of the Old Dodger Greats like Jackie Robinson, Roy Campanella, Duke Snider, Gil Hodges and Johnny Podres, I get misty-eyed and wish they could see the Dodgers today.

the Dodgers are playing with Monopoly money due to their t.v. deal that really had more to do with good luck than savvy negotiation.
They get more than twice as much $$ from their television contract than any team in the league and that's before any other income from attendance and merchandise sales, etc. come in to play.
Outside of maybe the Mets, whose owner is just that much more rich than any other of the rich owners, no team can win a bidding war with the Dodgers if the Dodgers really want someone.
They can afford to improve and put the best product on the field much more so than any team in baseball. That $334 million a year they make from their t.v. contract allows them to do so.
