Some good friends are IU fans. They're rooting on every L and blowout to bring an end to the Woodson era.

I wish my Father had lived long enough to appreciate that score. I remember him trying to teach me to spell Illini because it only took three letters.

I understand why they weren't quick to fire Mike Woodson--he's an Indiana guy--but what a mistake to not hire Dusty May away from FAU last year.

Seems like half the undergraduate student body is from Chicago

My stepson graduated from a large Chicago burb high school and it seemed half of the class was going to Illinois, Kentucky, and Indiana. A few Northwestern and Notre Dame kids, but I was surprised at how many were going to Indiana.

Indiana Basketball is Nebraska football
the most accurate comparison between programs in different sports I’ll add southern Cal baseball as well. All 3 original blue bloods in their respective sports but now just afterthoughts in the 2000’s.

Same for Iowa. I bet half the student population is from Chicago suburbs.

Think he’s retiring after this season. They’re gonna go after Beard, it will be interesting.

They don’t have great in state recruiting...

Not sure if their in-state recruiting talent pool is any worse than other Big Ten schools/Midwest schools.

I'll bet most Southern Cal students wonder if SC even plays baseball.

It just quietly slipped away with scholies and lack of revenue and the burdens of Title IX.

I mean there was a time for 30 years were USC Baseball was the scouting Mecca....then poof! Kids decided they didn't want to pay at least half $50,000 tuition each year for a Private no State funded College/Minor Leagues.

…and I think anybody can be a player in college hoops these days. You need the right coach and a couple of standouts. They’re close to Chicago, still have a national brand that hasn’t fallen as far as Nebraska football. Beard could wreck it there.
