Shaw coaching staff completely clueless. Laughing on the sideline while thinking they’re kneeling it out. Meanwhile SCC is calling timeouts. Didn’t stay locked in

That is what I was thinking also, but that was before the Victory formation era.
And, that was fumbling the ball while handing off. If Joe Pisarcik(or whatever his name was) would have just knelt down, they would have won.

Not to mention their victory formation from the shotgun which was a 6 yard loss every snap.
If they just snap under center and kneel SCC doesn't sniff field goal range even with the terrible punt.

Did the coaches make them aware that SCC had 2 timeout left?
Also sounded like the scoreboard operator wasn't doing too hot of a job, because announcers thought they just had 1 left instead of 2.

16-17 year old kid who had just “lost” the state championship game. Then he blasts a 44 yd FG that would have been good from 50+.

Exactly. They did just about everything you could do to lose a game. That loss is completely on their coach. Yeah the kid threw his helmet but coach already went into celebration mode.
