Aaron Glenn was a jet for a while and would be someone I’d interview but zero chance he’s the guy if they’re all in on Rodgers for at least another year. Wont go the unproven HC/defensive guy route.
I think it’s much more likely they go for a defensive guy with Rodgers bc Rodgers wants the offense he’s comfortable with. He’s not trying to run a new offense at 41

I can see Stenavich if Rodgers is sticking around

whoever it is, will be non white.
They just had a non-white. Even though he was a very whitish non-white. Regardless, that quota has been filled.
I think Ben Johnson, and they'll have to wait.

Mike Vrabel has to be the first option. And then Belicheck.
A hard nosed, young(ish), defensive minded coach who players love is who they just fired. They have a good defense.
I also think Vrabel can do better and will hold out for better. Bengals have a franchise QB for 5+ more years, could see him going there.

Would the Jets really hire him again?

probably a stupid question - but can the Jets can hire anyone they want, right NOW?
i mean, is there a rule that prevents them from hiring someone not on their coaching staff? or do they have to promote from within for the remainder of the year?
i just figured since the season is only 5 games in, and if there's no rule that prohibits it, would they be able to hire a current TV analyst or former coach to be their HC, immediately?

Technically yes but that wouldn’t be a very feasible option in the middle of a season

I think Ben Johnson,
No hot candidate like him will go to a traditionally dysfunctional organization that will either be continuing to be held hostage by a 41 yr old descending qb or not have a qb at all.

For equity’s sake they need to hire a Jewish coach.
According to Wikipedia the choice would appear to need to be from following list:
Marv Levy - 99 years young
Jedd Fisch - HC U of Washington
Dave Cohen - AHC/DL at Wake Forest
Mike Bercovici - offensive assistant for the juggernaut Caroline Panthers
Tony Levine - currently owns and runs a Jesus chicken franchise instead of coaching (Jesus is a Jew so still kosher).
Barry Rubin - former head strength and conditioning coach of the Kansas City Chiefs

i agree that it'd be super dumb for any decent coach to WANT to be hired as HC from outside the current staff. I just didn't know if it was against the rules or not
interesting

If they land a top 5 pick, my money is on Deion

I can’t imagine Belichick. Doesn’t he have bad blood there?

I'd go Kubiak from NOLA.
This. Inevitably without Carr the Saints will be a dumpster fire and they already wasted their good start

Wish Dennis Allen was high on that list
