They gave Pavia an extra year because he said it wasn’t fair he couldn’t make more money.

Chambliss will likely get the waiver. The only question is does he enter the draft while his stock is sky high.

Not me! I was always of that opinion that his request should be denied. College football tenures have becomes JOKES! In the past, the players eligible for Social Security used to only be the mission guys from BYU. Now, you have 6 and 7 year guys on every team. For example, COVID should never have been allowed to add an extra year since football was played to a large degree that season. Chambliss' request is ridiculous. Guy, your eligibility SHOULD be gone at this point. Medical redshirts requested years later like his should be denied...pure and simple.

I’m laughing at you saying he’s a Top10 pick, I guess we will see.

I always felt it would be and probably should be. If it was not denied, as it dragged on, I also assumed he would stay at Ole Miss due as much to the timing as anything else. I also expected some glowing statement about how wonderful Ole Miss was if that happened o:

I'd prefer if he declared instead. It would be fun to see the implosion of Ole Miss without a QB next year.

Well yeah, that would weaken a team we play every year.

It's unfortunate the NCAA drug their feet on this. He would have been a great asset to us next year. LSU couldn't wait around for him anymore.

If Chambliss doesn’t get the extra year and with Simmons going to Missouri, who would QB Ole Miss next season.

Best scenario is they can’t sign a top notch QB now and then he bolts for the NFL. They already have lost Simmons.

“They” didn’t give Pavia an extra year. The courts did based on a lack of NCAA jurisdiction over JUCO. That’s not relevant here.

Honestly, if Chambliss balls out again in the Semi-Finals win or lose he should just enter his name in the draft. This would be the draft to enter with no clear cut number 1 QB.

Chambliss’ draft stock is as high as it’ll ever be right now. He can’t risk coming back with a new unproven offensive staff next season

Kid is a ball player. Not sure if he makes it in the pros, but he is a better college QB than the kid who won the heisman.
