So I guess Hunky Cooper needs to get fitted for his gold jacket if we are counting AFL players

Herschel Walker deserves in before TD and Warner also

AFL Hall of Fame 2011...

but being the name most associated with Arena League absolutely didn't hurt Kurt Warner... ESPN Classic probably still plays the Iowa-Tampa Bay Arenabowl...

What a joke arguable the 2nd best wr of alltime and they're holding him out because he told the truth about Donavon Mcnabb and Jeff Garcia!!! Think about how stupid that is.

Kurt Warner was named the best player in the league, twice. Owens never was once. Every season that Warner started and played every game for his team, they went to the Super Bowl. Owens was a solid player for a long time, but he never did anything to elevate his teams

You keep comparing them like TO was a QB. The fact that you can't seem to realize those positions are criticized differently is ridiculous

ETA: no receiver has ever won the AP NFL MVP, and only 1 receiver has won the Pro Football Writers Assosciation MVP and that was Rice in '87 if that even counts

Well 3 of your 7 categories are def false and a couple others are strictly opinions and can't be supported by data. So 2 of your 7 statements are true the others Arnt.

Look at the phrasing he uses it's bullshite and selective stats. The truth is TO ranks higher on the list of alltime players at his position than Warner does at his and by a wide margin.

So what? Wide receiver is no where close to as important of a position as QB. You keep saying he is the 2nd greatest WR of all time. Well Faneca is probably the 2nd greatest guard of all time, was actually a good teammate and has a ring. But he didn't get elected to the HOF either. Yet nobody on here (an LSU site) is pitching a fit. Why all the outrage about Owens? It took Art Monk 8 years to get voted in. He was the career reception leader and had 3 rings. Cause people just don't value WRs that much. But all Owen's fanboys are trying to make it out to be some kind of vendetta. It just doesn't fit..

I'm not saying he's the second or third best wide reciever his numbers say that. And alan Faneca is nowhere near the second best guard of alltime (john Hannah and Larry Allen 2 examples) so I dunno where you're getting that from. And there is no outrage it's just silly that someone as dominant as TO was isn't a 1st ballad HOFer.

Jesus. NFL HOF voters are almost as bad as MLB.

I don't disagree, but when you limit the inductees this will happen every year.

I am of the opinion that either you are a hall of famer or your not. I can somewhat understand the concept of a first ballot being the elite of the elite. But if you don't get in by your 3rd go around then you should be struck from the roll. I can't remember the entire list from this year but just from memory. Owens, faneca and Mawae are hall of famers for sure why must they wait? Stupid process.

Yeah, I agree with this. How does Tim Raines all of a sudden become HOF worthy after 15 years of not being?

I'm not surprised Terrell Owens again didn't make the HofF. The process isn't flawed, as he says. His resume is. Does not belong in the Hall

The NFL Hall of Fame was always one of the better managed HOFs, and hasn't gotten out of hand. Until now.

Kurt Warner at his best was very good. But also in the middle of his career, he lost his job to Marc fricking Bulger and then the next year lost it to rookie Eli Manning. then again to rookie Matt Leinart. Dude was a complete bum for several seasons before regaining form later in his time in AZ.

As for Terrell Davis, what a damn joke. Hey lets put Shaun Alexander in too while we are at it. and Marshawn Lynch. and Tiki Barber and Jamal Lewis too!

Mvp is a qb/rb award, no and if or buts. Using that as an argument as why Warner >>> Owens is ridiculously stupid.

For a WR to be great, he needs to catch bad passes from bad QBs... hence why none has ever won a Heisman Trophy, or NFL MVP
