That's ridiculous. It was a road game against a conference opponent. Those kind of spreads against rent-a-wins is one thing, but 40-50 point spreads against conference opponents is always wild to me no matter how bad they are. I'd be really curious to see how many times a team was favored by 40+ against a conference foe and what the results were. The only time I can remember someone covering it was UGA over Vandy in 2022, at least that one was in Athens.

That's why I've always said the Stanford-USC line was a joke and for Vegas tourists who didn't understand the Pac10.
The line was based off the year before when Stanford went 1-11 and lost to USC 42-0.....the line the next year was 41.5 , not much room to win the spread especially against a vastly improved new Harbough team.
But that's why the House always wins.

The Broncos were a 28 point favorite against the Jaguars in 2013. I'm not sure if we'll ever see a line like that in the NFL ever again. Jags covered it pretty easily, IIRC.

Back in 2007 USC was favored by 41 points over Stanford and Jim Harbaugh. Final score 24 - 23 Stanford.
I was at the UF-LSU game. When they announced the score during a break it was the loudest sustained couple minutes I’ve ever heard Tiger Stadium. You’d have thought we’d have hit a game winning Hail Mary when they announced it. One of the most memorable nights of my entire life.

Obsessions are weird.

In the same season, Stanford upset USC as a 39-point underdog.

Giacamo 50 -1 in 2005 derby. 10 across paid $773.00.

Hero of Order winning the Louisiana Derby at 110-1. Never won after that.

Joe Burrow at 200-1 to win the Heisman was a lock
So was Jayden Daniels at 7-1 to win Rookie of the Year

Not odds, but I’ll never forget the ESPN soccer index giving Brazil close to an 80% chance of beating Germany in the 2014 World Cup semis. Then 7-0 massacre took place.

That's sort of pathetic...what about the birth of your child? Or marriage day? USC isn't even a rival to LSU. Weirdoramma was LSU's insecurity in the 2000s.

Am I not allowed to remember more than one thing? Sorry you haven’t had many memorable instances I guess.

LSU obsession with USC

LSU isn’t obsessed with USC. We call bullshite on them claiming the 03 national championship and were glad they received their just desserts after that bullshite. But you’re sitting here acting like were spend every waking minute thinking of USC. And, nobody other than USC fans liked USC back in those days.

What made it even more insane is that there is no postseason in the EPL. So it's not like Leicester City got hot at the right time, they were the best team over like a 6 month period.
