I hope he stays at Minnesota and builds a top 10 program. It would be great for cfb.

Ive been a PJ Fleck fan for a long time, well at least several years since he turned around W Michigan.. i was hoping LSU would consider him after we got rid of Les but i was disappointed when Fleck’s name didnt come up once amongst the chorus of Fishers, and Fedoras, and Hermans, etc... Now, it looks like things are gonna work out okay for us with Coach O, but i’m Still going to root hard for Fleck wherever he winds up.. honestly though, if the keep playing this way and being in the Big Ten, i think it’s possible that ho could win a Natty there.

I could see him at Texas if they fire Herman or Baylor if Rhule leaves.

He definitely doesn’t seem like a fit for USC. Seems like more of a traditional “family atmosphere” oriented kind of guy. Can’t really see him recruiting players from places like Compton.

Yes, I'm a badger fan, but still legit curious why that would be "good for college football". People say that all the time but rarely explain why.

I feel like he has no desire to leave Minnesota. He is getting to build the program exactly how he wants it. I believe they are giving him new or upgraded facilities and everything else he may ask for that he needs.
He gets to build the whole thing exactly how he wants it.

doesn't seem like a lot?. am I wrong on that?

No that’s not a lot. John Currie wanted to hire Matt Campbell for the UT job in 2017, but his buyout was $9 million so UT passed. Fleck’s is very reasonable and wouldn’t be a hindrance to a big time program that wanted to hire him.

Because Minny was an early 1900s CFB power. We're making CFB great again.

Agreed. He's also a Midwestern guy who has admitted that taking the NFL job in Tampa contributed to the end of his first marriage.

I think he's going to be a Ferentz or Dantonio type of coach in the B1G. He'll be successful and perfectly content where he's at.

PJ is not leaving Minnesota. Just signed a 7 year extension with a pay raise and there are ZERO expectations at Minnesota.

He structured the buyouts so it wouldn't be difficult for him to leave however. Keeping his options open.

He's still somewhat young as far as coaches go. I don't think he's in a terrible rush. If he keeps doing what he's doing and is patient he will be able to go just about anywhere he wants to go, including Texas.

Imagine "row the boat" by Lady Bird Lake.
